MARTHA GRAHAM DANCE Leaps Into The Skirball Center 5/12-5/16

Paul Szilard Productions, Inc. in association with ATTRACT Productions (Greece) is presenting the Martha Graham Dance Company in a special engagement at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts at NYU, 566 LaGuardia Place at Washington Square South, Tuesday, May 12th-Saturday, May 16th. The acclaimed company will be performing two programs of Grahams' work and on Thursday, May 14th there will be a special Gala honoring Paul Szilard (guests & program tba).

Roundabout's 'BYE BYE BIRDIE' Will Call Newly Completed Henry Miller Theatre 'Home'

After a 48 year absence, Bye Bye Birdie will return to Broadway this fall presented by Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) in a production starring John Stamos (Albert Peterson), Gina Gershon (Rose Alvarez), Bill Irwin (Mr. Harry MacAfee) and Jayne Houdyshell (Mrs. Mae Peterson). Directed & choreographed by Robert Longbottom, Bye Bye Birdie has a book by Michael Stewart, lyrics by Lee Adams and music by Charles Strouse. Roundabout is proud to welcome back three artists who have previously worked at the theatrical institution: John Stamos, Gina Gershon and Bill Irwin.

Patricia Resnick On The Kentertainment Report Sirius/XM 4/23

Ken Kleiber of 'That's Kentertainment!' will be welcoming Patricia Resnick (bookwriter of '9 to 5 The Musical') as a guest on 'The Kentertainment Report' segment of the 'Frank DeCaro Show' Thursday April 23rd at Noon on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio, Channel 109. Resnick, also the co-screenwriter of the film '9 to 5', will discuss the upcoming Broadway opening of '9 to 5' The Musical plus other projects inlcuding a Nick, Jr. series she recently wrote and Executive-Produced, plus a new memoir she is currently penning. And, as a happy coincidence, Ms. Resnick wrote the Dolly Parton/James Woods vehicle 'Straight Talk', a film which happens to contain the first on-screen appearance of Ken Kleiber! Tune in to Sirius/XM 109 Thursday Arpil 23rd at Noon.

Kelly, Childs Lead WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF 4/14-5/9

Matthew Kelly and Tracey Childs will will be performing in Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?. Kelly and Childs will play George and Martha. Performances at Trafalgar Studio 2 begin on April 14 and runs until May 9.

terraNOVA Collective is set to host an evening to benfit terraNOVA Collective Thursday, April 2 at DR2 Theatre and D-Lounge 103 East 15th Street. This extra special evening will begin with a Welcome Reception at 7pm in the DR2 Lobby with chocolate and desserts from some of New York?s finest bakeries including Magnolia Bakery & Tonnie?s. The Mainstage Performance will begin at 8pm in the DR2 Theatre. Performances will include Roger Bonair-Agard (HBO's Def Poetry Jam) and previews from the upcoming 2009 soloNOVA Arts Festival, including: Preston Martin (Fun Design with Svelte) and magician Jeff Grow (Creating Illusion). Concluding the performances, packages will be up for sale including tickets to some of the hottest Broadway shows as well as NY & NJ sporting events.

Martha Graham Dance Co Plays In Paris At Theatre du Chalet 4/14-18

MCC's THE THIRD STORY Extends Again Through March 15

MCC THEATER (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, Artistic Directors; William Cantler, Associate Artistic Director; Blake West, Executive Director) have announced that, in order to accommodate ticket demand, they will extend the New York Premiere of Charles Busch's The Third Story. Directed by Carl Andress. the six-character play will now continue through Sunday, March 15 (two additional weeks) at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC). The production, which opened on February 2, features Mr. Busch, Scott Parkinson, Sarah Rafferty, Jennifer Van Dyck, Jonathan Walker and Kathleen Turner (and marks Ms. Turner's return to Off Broadway in more than 30 years).
