Break out your best PJs, because it's time for some great new music performed by Broadway's brightest stars in 'PAJAMBOREE' on Saturday, September 27th at 11:30 p.m.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has announced the winners of the NYMF 2014 Awards for Excellence. Awards are voted on by the NYMF jury and the awards were presented at the closing night celebration on July 27th at Arena Events Space.

The Gig, a musical by Douglas J. Cohen (No Way to Treat a Lady, The Big Time), based on the 1985 film by Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize Winner Frank D. Gilroy (The Subject Was Roses), is a selection of the 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF), making its New York City debut at the PTC Performance Space, tonight, July 15 - July 21.

Based on the popular film, Elf tells the heartwarming story of Buddy, an orphaned baby who crawls into Santa's toy bag and is accidentally taken to the North Pole. Buddy is raised as an elf until his size and inept toy-making skills force him to face the facts. So, he heads to New York to meet his newly discovered human father, a children's book publisher who turns out to be quite the Grinch. It seems his dad's on the naughty list, his half-brother doesn't believe in Santa and New York is completely lacking in Christmas spirit. It's up to Buddy to bring his new family together and save Christmas for all!

Top talent from Broadway come to The Ridgefield Playhouse today, October 7, at 7:30 p.m. in a concert reading of Ridgefielder Adam Safir's new musical Kilty's Revolt, to benefit A Better Chance (ABC) in Ridgefield. Tally Sessions, featured in the new Broadway Play Big Fish, brings his powerful high baritone to the lead role of Revolutionary War era indentured servant Kilty. Kate Fahrner, who plays Glynda inthe blockbuster Wicked, will display comic and tragic versatility as his brash and puckish lover Elizabeth. Proceeds from this event will help support the seven extraordinary young women from the East Coast who attend Ridgefield High School and revel in all the town has to offer through A Better Chance. This event is part of the Ridgefield Magazine Broadway and Cabaret Series. Bernard's (22 West Lane, Ridgefield) is offering a special prix-fixe menu before the show when tickets are presented; reservations suggested. The cast of the Walnut Street Theatre's production of 'Grease' created a music video to pay tribute to the city of Philadelphia - the birthplace of America and home of the oldest theatre in the country - just in time for Independence Day! Directed and choreographed by Adolpho Blaire, who plays Roger in the production, the video takes viewers on a tour of some of the most famous sites in the city of Brotherly Love including Love Park, Independence Hall, the 'Rocky Steps' at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and even backstage at the 204 year old Theatre. The cast goes sightseeing and eventually dances through the streets to a disco-crazed version of 'Yankee Doodle Dandy' by Paul Jabara. The original tune, incidentally, was sung by George M. Cohan himself in 1904 at the Walnut Street Theatre in 'Little Johnny Jones' before it's opening on Broadway. Click below to watch the video!
