Top talent from Broadway will be coming to The Ridgefield Playhouse on Monday, October 7, at 7:30 p.m. in a concert reading of Ridgefielder Adam Safir's new musical Kilty's Revolt, to benefit A Better Chance (ABC) in Ridgefield. Tally Sessions, featured in the new Broadway Play Big Fish, brings his powerful high baritone to the lead role of Revolutionary War era indentured servant Kilty. Kate Fahrner, who plays Glynda inthe blockbuster Wicked, will display comic and tragic versatility as his brash and puckish lover Elizabeth.
The cast of the Walnut Street Theatre's production of 'Grease' created a music video to pay tribute to the city of Philadelphia - the birthplace of America and home of the oldest theatre in the country - just in time for Independence Day! Directed and choreographed by Adolpho Blaire, who plays Roger in the production, the video takes viewers on a tour of some of the most famous sites in the city of Brotherly Love including Love Park, Independence Hall, the 'Rocky Steps' at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and even backstage at the 204 year old Theatre. The cast goes sightseeing and eventually dances through the streets to a disco-crazed version of 'Yankee Doodle Dandy' by Paul Jabara. The original tune, incidentally, was sung by George M. Cohan himself in 1904 at the Walnut Street Theatre in 'Little Johnny Jones' before it's opening on Broadway. Click below to watch the video!

They were thrown into the fire in 'Half Hour 2: A Last Minute Concert,' a show where even they don't know what they'll be singing before they step up to the microphone. CAROLS FOR A CURE is the annual two-disc holiday CD compilation of original songs and holiday classics which benefits BC/EFA. These CDs boast the best voices from the worlds of Broadway, Off-Broadway and national tours. A full track list for this year's 14th edition has not yet been announced, but the cast of Broadway's WICKED was already hard a work yesterday recording their track for the album.
