Starz Chief Executive Officer Chris Albrecht announced the straight-to-series greenlight of BLACK SAILS (working title) from executive producer Michael Bay. The new STARZ Original series is expected to air in 2014.

Bono will receive the Stephen F. Kolzak Award at the Los Angeles Ceremony on April 21, 2012 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites, presented locally by Delta Air Lines.

Following last night's broadcast of the 84th Annual Academy Awards on ABC, late night host Jimmy Kimmel debuted a trailer for his upcoming movie MOVIE: THE MOVIE. The all-star cast of the film, described as a sci-fi romantic comedy thriller includes Ed Norton, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Josh Brolin, Antonio Banderas, Colin Farrell, Tom Hanks, Charlize Theron, Bryan Cranston, Jeff Goldblum, Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson and John Krasinski, Kate Beckinsale and Meryl Streep.

Film Independent, the non-profit arts organization that produces the Spirit Awards and the Los Angeles Film Festival, held its annual honors yesterday, February 25, in Santa Monica.
