Chance Theater Proudly presents the Southern California Premiere of MIDDLETOWN

Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, is pleased to announce the second show in our 19th Anniversary Season… Middletown. Written by Will Eno and directed by Trevor Biship, Middletown will preview from April 21 through April 28; regular performances will begin April 29 and continue through May 21 at Chance Theater @ Bette Aitken theater arts Center on the intimate Fyda-Mar Stage.

Nancy Keystone to Direct Pulitzer Prize-Winning Musical NEXT TO NORMAL at East West Players

East West Players (EWP), the nation's longest-running professional theatre of color in the country and the largest producing organization of Asian American artistic work, is pleased to announce Nancy Keystone as director of our upcoming production of Next To Normal, which begins performances on May 11 and runs until June 11, 2017, with opening night on May 17.

Theatre of NOTE announces its production of the Los Angeles premiere ofA Beautiful Day in November on the Banks of the Greatest of the Great Lakes, written by Kate Benson and directed by Laramie Dennis. A Beautiful Day in November on the Banks of the Greatest of the Great Lakes will preview Friday and Saturday, November 4 and 5, at 8pm, and will open on Thursday, November 10 at 8pm and run through Saturday, December 10 at Theatre of NOTE, 1517 N Cahuenga Blvd (just north of Sunset) in Hollywood.

BWW Review: Fugitive Kind Theater Soars with its World Premiere Fantasy SHINE DARKLY, ILLYRIA

Fugitive Kind Theater is the presenting company, which for eleven years has engaged in creating boundary-breaking shows. This production takes the group to new heights, setting the story in what appears to be a fantasy circus world on the island of Illyria where anything goes and people are allowed to be whoever and whatever they want to be. It's a small society, but one most of us could certainly enjoy living in given the lack of stress and having any real work to do. But of course, such an idyllic world cannot last, and it is the dark side of Illyria we visit in SHINE DARKLY, ILLYRIA.

Los Angeles Production of Mamet's THE ANARCHIST Set for Limited Run at Sheen Center

Pulitzer Prize winning Playwright David Mamet (Glengarry Glen Ross) and LA Drama Critics Circle winning Director/Producer Marja-Lewis Ryan (One In The Chamber) bring their critically acclaimed, sold-out, LA production of THE ANARCHIST to New York in collaboration with The Sheen Center & The Atlantic Theater Company.  Produced by Emily Peck and Ryan, this special limited engagement will play April 27-April 30 at The Sheen Center, 18 Bleecker Street.

Music and Lyrics by Pete Townshend, Book by Pete Townshend and Des McAnuff, Additional Music and Lyrics by John Entwistle and Keith Moon.

East West Players (EWP), the nation's longest-running professional theatre of color in the country and the largest producing organization of Asian American artistic work, continues its 50th Anniversary Season, Golden, with 'The Who's TOMMY,' Music and Lyrics by Pete Townshend, Book by Pete Townshend and Des McAnuff, Additional Music and Lyrics by John Entwistle and Keith Moon. 'The Who's TOMMY' was originally produced on Broadway by Pace Theatrical Group and Dodger Productions with Kardana Productions. The production is directed by Snehal Desai (EWP's 'A Nice Indian Boy') with musical direction by Marc Macalintal (EWP's 'Chess,' 'Krunk Fu Battle Battle') and choreography by Janet Roston (Ovation Award and NAACP Award winner for 'The Color Purple' at Celebration Theatre). Generous support for this production is provided by the S. Mark Taper Foundation Endowment for East West Players.

Fugitive Kind's THE PLIANT GIRLS Opens 5/9

Opening May 9, in Fugitive Kind's breathless, visceral style, director Amanda McRaven and playwright Meghan Brown reunite after a hugely successful run of The Fire Room at the 2013 Hollywood Fringe Festival.
