The Theatre Company at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) has announced dates and details for the 2017 Colorado New Play Summit. The 12th annual festival will feature readings of new works by Donnetta Lavinia Grays, Rogelio Martinez, Eric Pfeffinger, Robert Schenkkan, and Lauren Yee alongside World Premiere productions by Lauren Gunderson and Tira Palmquist.

I can't resist: if you want to be thoroughly 'enchanted,' get thyself to Glen Echo Park (a worthwhile destination for many reasons), for the venerable Adventure Theatre's charming production of Ella Enchanted, a world premiere musical based on the beloved book by Gail Carson Levine. This stage adaptation, from gifted and celebrated playwright Karen Zacarias and composer Deborah Wicks La Puma, is an hour of delight for all ages.

4th Wall Theatre Company launches its inaugural play reading festival, 4th Wall Reads:  Women's Voices.  Running March 2nd - March 12th at STUDIO 101, the festival showcases five exceptional female playwrights, including Pulitzer Prize finalist and renowned playwright Theresa Rebeck who is headlining the event.  The five plays, which are new to Houston audiences and range from insightful comedies to hard-hitting dramas, will be read twice over the 10-day festival with each reading to be followed by moderated talk-backs.  All general admission tickets are Pay What You Can, with a limited number of reserved seats available for advance purchase.
