On June 14, 2010, four of today's best and brightest young Broadway performers will share the stage with students who represent the next generation of artists, in recognition of the 40th Anniversary of Harbor Conservatory for the Performing Arts, a division of Boys & Girls Harbor and the only multi-disciplinary performing arts school serving East Harlem.

This week, continuing our show-by-show analysis of the entire canon of Stephen Sondheim's theatre scores, we are taking a listen to the various cast recordings of that other legendary musical Sondheim helped to create early in his career, a show which is currently wowing them every night in its hit revival at the Broadway Theatre, WEST SIDE STORY.

Tony Award-winning composer/lyricist Jason Robert Brown returned to Broadway Artists Alliance of New York City to lead a master class in Song Interpretation and Audition Technique on April 10th.

The new Broadway cast album of 'West Side Story' has picked up the 2010 Grammy for Best Musical Show Album. The announcement was made during the Grammy Awards' pre-telecast ceremony held at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Sunday, January 31. The creative team behind the 'West Side Story' new Broadway cast album is Leonard Bernstein, composer; Stephen Sondheim, lyricist. David Caddick & David Lai produced the album which was released by Masterworks Broadway.

On October 15, 2010, The New York Pops orchestra - famous for presenting popular music with a symphony orchestra of the highest quality - will launch its 28th season; a Carnegie Hall series celebrating the stylistic diversity of some of popular music's greatest icons.
