The new Broadway production of Gigi, Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's beloved Oscar and Tony Award-winning musical comedy, resumes rehearsals today, Monday, March 2, in New York City.

While it is certainly a fact that on December 4, 1956, Sun Records was host to an incredible gathering of talent (Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis), a listen to the actual recordings made that day were more along the lines of favorite folk and gospel numbers that the four shared in common. And though some of that does come through, the stage musical, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, utilizes this historic meeting as a jumping off point for an evening of truly classic rock and roll, with some other more reverent material sprinkled in for good measure. But honestly, a faithful recreation of the truth would be a bit of a letdown to most fans, so instead we're treated to a re-imagining that might bend the truth a bit (book by Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux), but only in the quest to give audiences a glimpse at what could have been.

The Vineyard Theatre announced today that due to demand the world premiere of the original musical BROOKLYNITE will extend its limited engagement by one week and will now run through Sunday, March 29. Helmed by Tony Award-winning director Michael Mayer (HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, SPRING AWAKENING), BROOKLYNITE opened on Wednesday, February 25.

The National Tour of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, which is entering its fourth smash year on the road and will play over 60 cities in the next year, bringing the Broadway musical inspired by the electrifying true story of four rock 'n' roll icons to many new locations across the country. MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET will make a stop at the Fabulous Fox Theatre this weekend, February 27 - March 1.

New York City Ballet principal dancer Tiler Peck will step into the role of 'Ivy Smith' in the new Broadway revival of On The Town this March for six performances only, while her fellow New York City Ballet principal dancer, and sister-in law, Megan Fairchild is on vacation. Peck will play the role at the following performances: March 3rd at 7pm, March 4th at 2pm and 8pm, March 14th at 2pm and 8pm, and March 15th at 3pm.
