The Mama Foundation for the Arts proudly announces that two new musicals will open Off-Broadway this fall in Harlem: WE ARE!, an original musical about and starring the acclaimed Gospel for Teens Choir (first seen in an Emmy Award-Winning '60 Minutes' story), and ALIVE!, an original musical featuring a full company of performers who are age 55 and over. Both WE ARE! and ALIVE!, conceived, written and directed by Vy Higginsen and Ken Wydro, will join MAMA, I WANT TO SING: THE NEXT GENERATION and SING HARLEM SING in Repertory at The Dempsey Theater in Harlem (127 W. 127 St.). Performances for ALIVE! begin on Saturday, October 5th; performances for WE ARE! begin Saturday, October 12th. MAMA . . . will join the two new musicals in rep beginning Saturday, October 19th, and SING, HARLEM, SING will be performed on Saturday, November 16th. Owl City announces a 2013 arena tour with Maroon 5 and Neon Trees. The two month long trek kicks-off today, February 13th in Columbus, OH at Schottenstein Center and will wrap on April 6th at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL, hitting several notable venues along the way including Los Angeles' Staples Center and New York City's Madison Square Garden. The news of the 2013 tour comes as Owl City continues his The Midsummer Station World Tour overseas in Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

THE RRAZZ ROOM, San Francisco's premiere nightclub, presents the debut solo engagement of Valerie Simpson running now through May 13. Ms. Simpson wrote some of the greatest love songs of a generation with her husband and writing partner, Nick Ashford, including "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," "You're All I Need To Get By," "Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)" and "Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing." But when he died of throat cancer in August at the age of 70, Simpson was cast adrift. After spending more than four decades together, she didn't know if she would ever get back on stage. The Oxygen Network has just announced that they will capture Caroline D' Amore's life on a new reality show aptly named, 'That's D' Amore'. Although still in development, the show will center on Caroline and her two sisters as they attempt to 'keep it real in a not always so real town'. Refreshingly, her family's story of rags-to-riches will feature prominently in the backdrop, expounding on the journey from a single struggling pizzeria to eleven highly successful restaurants, the most recent of which just opened in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood's Miracle Mile shopping district; an amazing feat for a company still family owned and operated. In line with her meteoric rise to international stardom, Caroline's creative focus is geared toward Hollywood glamour, having made guest appearances on television shows such as, 'Entourage' and '90210', and performing in films including, 'Sorority Row', “Daydreamer' and 'Pizza with Bullets' which she won a best supporting actress award at The Angeles Film Festival.
