Write Out Loud Presents WORDS AND MUSIC

Write Out Loud - an organization founded in 2007 with a commitment to inspire, challenge and entertain by reading literature aloud for a live audience presents Words and Music, the fifth production in their American Season XI, a season that focuses on American stories by American authors. Write Out Loud Story Concerts bring literature to life - aloud - with rehearsed readings by professional actors. Each program explores specific themes by weaving a variety of stories and poems together into a literary tapestry. Patricia Freund, Lileth Freund, Sandy Campbell, Kurt Norby, David Fenner and Walter Ritter will perform. Mark Danisovszky will accompany on the keyboard. A complimentary pre-show reception starts at 6:15pm with a 7:00pm curtain.

Write Out Loud - an organization founded in 2007 with a commitment to inspire, challenge and entertain by reading literature aloud for a live audience - presents VOICES OF IRELAND, their annual celebration of the Emerald Isle, with classic and contemporary Irish tales and music. VOICES OF IRELAND is performed for one night only on Monday, March 19th at 7:30pm at Lamb's Players Theatre. Performers include Ron Choularton, Michael Cusimano, Caitie Grady, Kurt Norby, Veronica Murphy & Walter Ritter. Pre-show and intermission music will be provided by the Celtic Echoes.

San Diego Musical Theatre "The Local Way to See Broadway" presents their first production of 2014, CATS, running two more weekends at the North Park Theatre throughApril 6, 2014. With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, based on the Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats by T.S. Eliot, CATS tells the story, in song and dance, of the annual gathering of Jellicle cats at which time one special cat is selected to ascend to the Heaviside layer. A true musical theatre phenomenon, CATS opened at London's New London Theatre on May 11, 1981 and ran for a record-setting 21 years. CATS's London success was nearly matched on Broadway where it ran at the Wintergarden Theatre for just over 18 years. Directed by James Vasquez; Choreography by Janet Renslow; Musical Direction by Don LeMaster. Matthew Novotny, Lighting Designer - Janet Pitcher, Costume Coordinator -Stanley Cohen, Stage Manager. The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the World Premiere of Allegiance - A New American Musical, an epic story of family, love and patriotism set during the Japanese American internment of World War II. Directed by Stafford Arima, with music and lyrics by Jay Kuo and book by Marc Acito, Kuo and Lorenzo Thione, the production features choreography by Andrew Palermo and music supervision, arrangements and orchestrations by Lynne Shankel.
