In just two short weeks, Shadowbox Live usher the first of what is sure to be many, many audiences into a brand new theater.

On Wednesday, July 27th, Downtown Columbus will unwind from the grind with a little help and a lot of great music from its new neighbors: the dynamic metaperformers of Shadowbox Live, as they host Back to the Brew, a happy-hour festival that celebrates the return of America's largest resident theatre company to their city-center roots.

Shadowbox Live, America's largest resident theatre company, is gearing up to host some of the best sketch comedy troupes in the country. Next week, five troupes go head to head in competition at the 3rd annual Shadowbox Live Sketch Comedy Festival, showing at The Easton Town Center on July 19th and 20th!

In a few short weeks, Shadowbox Live and BalletMet Columbus will unveil the very first collaboration between these two heavy hitting arts organizations, 7 Deadly Sins, performing at Capitol Theatre April 29th - May 7th.

Day one of the competition has come to a close at Shadowbox. The 2nd annual sketch comedy festival, featuring seven troupes from around the country, is half way through and the audience has spoken (along with critical panelists Garrett Morris, Mindy Drayer, and Julie Klein).

The second annual Shadowbox Sketch Comedy Festival is right around the corner! Next Tuesday and Wednesday 7 troupes will go head-to-head in an American Idol-style competition where the audience decides which sketches go on to the finals and, ultimately, which troupe will reign supreme.

It was announced Wednesday, April 28, that Shadowbox Cabaret's original musical, BACK TO THE GARDEN has officially become the company's most successful musical. Currently in its second extension, the show has grossed more than double its closest comparison, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, which ran originally in the fall of 2006 and was revived in the summer of 2007. THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW was performed for a total of 1,771 patrons and made $52,346. BACK TO THE GARDEN has been seen by 3,866 people and grossed $133,434 so far. There are still six performances left, before it closes on May 23rd.
