Laguna Playhouse presents the second show of their 2012-2013 season, the Olivier and Tony Award-winning hilarious, action-packed comedy, THE 39 STEPS, adapted by Patrick Barlow (based on the Alfred Hitchcock film) and directed by Kevin Bigger. The cast of THE 39 STEPS will feature Dan Fenaughty, Larissa Klinger, Nicholas Wilder and Toby Shaw.

At long last, the secrets are revealed, the poems and mysteries are illuminated, and the story of Emily Dickinson is told as you've never heard it before. In Cape May Stage's upcoming production of William Luce's 'The Belle of Amherst,' opening October 17 and running through October 27 at the Robert Shackleton Playhouse, director Austin Pendleton paints a poignant portrait of Emily Dickinson, showing sides of the reclusive poet never seen before on stage.

BerryMeyer Productions presents its inaugural production, Noel Coward's famous comedy Blithe Spirit, directed by Adam Berry. Blithe Spirit opens Thursday, October 11th, 2012 and runs through Sunday, October 28th at The Julie Harris Stage in Wellfleet, Mass.

The Hunter College Art Galleries present Times Square Show Revisited, an in-depth look at the original Times Square Show, on view from today, September 14-December 8, 2012. Times Square Show Revisited is the first focused assessment of the landmark 1980 exhibition organized by the artist group Collaborative Projects, Inc.

Feinstein's at Loews Regency will continue its Fall 2012 season with the return of singer and television star Linda Purl, in her new show "Midnight Caravan: Travels through the Great New York Clubs." Recapturing the glamour of New York's swank hotspots like The Copacabana and The Blue Angel, Purl invokes the smoky, after-hours world of the 1940s and 50s. With musical direction by Tedd Firth, "Midnight Caravan" includes songs such as "Easy Living," "I Thought About You," and "My Romance," to name just a few.

Harry Melling - best known for playing Dudley Dursley in five of the HARRY POTTER films - is to play Christopher Isherwood in I am a Camera, which will run in a three-week season at The Vault at Southwark Playhouse, from tonight, September 5 - Saturday September 22.

American Blues Theater (ABT), Chicago's second oldest Equity ensemble, kicks off the Ensemble's 27th season with the world premiere of Illegal Use of Hands by Emmy Award-winner, two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist and ABT Artistic Affiliate James Still, directed by Sandy Shinner, tonight, August 31 - September 30 at Victory Gardens' Richard Christiansen Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue. Press opening for Illegal Use of Hands is Thursday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. Tickets range from $10 - $39. Complete ticket information including ticket on-sale date and performance schedule will be announced at a later date.

The Castillo Theatre continues its presentation of four winning scripts from the 2012 Mario Fratti-Fred Newman Political Play Contest, selected from more than 200 entries including submissions by playwrights from around the world. The plays are being directed by distinguished theatre professionals and the final production plays tonight, August 27 at 7:00 p.m.
