Earlier this week I posted how I voted for this season's Outer Critics Circle Awards, so now here are the picks from my ballot for the Drama Desk Awards, which will be presented Sunday night.

The Constitution is the only document you get more knowledge of it, the drunker you get.  Why?  It was written during a four month drunken binge. The bills from those days show thousands of dollars in wine, port, beer.  They were all drinking.

Oscar nominee Jacki Weaver (Animal Kingdom - 2011 and Silver Linings Playbook - 2013) and Julian Sands have been added to the cast of Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks, the feature film based on Richard Alfieri's international hit play of the same name. Sands' previous films include The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Killing Fields and A Room with a View.

Irish Repertory Theatre celebrates its award-winning 25th Anniversary Season with SOMETHING WONDERFUL! THE SONGS OF RODGERS & HAMMERSTEIN, an evening celebrating classic Rodgers and Hammerstein hits performed by a galaxy of Broadway stars, for one night only, Monday, June 10 at Broadway's Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street). Shirley Jones, best known for her roles in 'Oklahoma!' and 'Carousel,' returns to Broadway in the gala evening, directed by Charlotte Moore and hosted by Tom Hanks.

The Village Voice's Michael Musto reports that Ann-Margret, Rita Moreno and Julian Sands have joined the cast of the upcoming film SIX DANCE LESSONS IN SIX WEEKS. The actors will join previously announced cast members Cheyenne Jackson and Gena Rowlands.

The 2013 Tribeca Film Festival (TFF), presented by founding sponsor American Express, today announced its lineup of 60 short films, 30 of which are world premieres-a record number for the Festival-and a special screening.

In conjunction with The Birthday Party, Steppenwolf Theatre Company presents a one-night only performance of A Celebration of Harold Pinter, performed by British actor Julian Sands, directed by ensemble member John Malkovich. With personal anecdotes and reflections drawn from his work with Pinter, Sands combines Pinter's poems and prose to create a fresh and intimate insight into the Nobel laureate's literary legacy. A Celebration of Harold Pinter is tonight, February 10 at 7:30pm in the Downstairs Theatre (1650 N Halsted St). Tickets ($25) are on sale now.

The international smash hit comedy where outrageous and true celebrity memoirs are acted out live on stage by some of the funniest people in entertainment, Celebrity Autobiography is an evening of jaw-dropping, hard-to-believe vignettes excerpted straight from actual celebrity tell-alls: from the 'he-said, she-said' accounts of Burt and Loni; signature mash-ups that combine the "Mom"oirs of famous moms such as Ivana Trump, Kathie Lee Gifford and Kris Jenner; a music memoir segment combining the words of Bieber, Beyonce and beyond; a Sports Match Up with Arnold, Tiger, and Namath; Cher, Streisand, Dolly and Celine Dion all expressing their passion for food; LL Cool J, Miley Cyrus, and Ricky Martin addressing who they 'really are;" to a hilarious ensemble "playlet" edited together from the memoirs of the most famous love triangle in Hollywood history-Elizabeth Taylor, Debbie Reynolds, and Eddie Fisher. Audiences leave the show asking "Did these celebrities really write that?" Yup--we are not making any of it up!

The U.S. premiere of 'Backbeat,' the dramatic new play with music about the birth of one of the greatest rock 'n' roll bands in history, the Beatles, opened last night, January 30, 2013, and continues through March 1, 2013. The theater has been newly reconfigured by Pendleton with scenic designer Walt Spangler to bring the audience closer to the story by moving the stage to the center of the room. The Birthday Party begins previews tonight, January 24 (Opening night is February 3, 2013; Press performances are February 2 at 3pm and February 5 at 7:30pm) and runs through April 28 in Steppenwolf's Upstairs Theatre (1650 N Halsted St). Off-Broadway's Irish Repertory Theatre, which was had been closed during the blackout, has added performances of Julian Sands in A CELEBRATION OF HAROLD PINTER on Tuesdays, November 6 and 13 at 7pm in its W. Scott McLucas Studio Theatre (132 West 22nd Street). John Malkovich ('Places in the Heart') directs.

Irish Repertory Theatre continues its 25th Anniversary Season with Grammy-nominee Phil Coulter in THE SONGS I LOVE SO WELL, with previews set to begin November 29, prior to its official Off-Broadway opening on Thursday, December 6 on The Irish Repertory Theatre's Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage (132 West 22nd Street).

The Irish Repertory Theatre, which has been dark since the blackout following Hurricane Sandy, has announced that performances of A CELEBRATION OF HAROLD PINTER are set to resume as of Friday, November 2 at 8pm in its W. Scott McLucas Studio Theatre; and performances of THE FREEDOM OF THE CITY are set to resume as of Saturday, November 3 at 3pm on its Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage, at 132 West 22nd Street in Manhattan.
