Gulfport Little Theatre Presents GYPSY, 4/4

Gulfport Little Theatre is proud to present its spring musical production, Gypsy, by Arthur Laurents, with music by Jule Styne and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. Gypsy is directed by Bryan VonderBruegge with musical direction by Alan Cahela, choreography by Twyla Boudreaux Moore, and costumes by Kelli Overmyer. The Assistant Director is Mary LaCour and the producer is Miyoshi McGravey. The show runs April 4-13, with curtain at 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and matinee performances on Sunday with curtain at 3pm.

Jim Brochu's new musical memoir at Urban Stages Theatre (259 West 30th Street). This limited run will continue through April 6th only. Robert Bartley directs, with musical direction by Carl Haan.

On Saturday evening, March 1st at 7:30pm Pace University presented American Showstoppers, with the 13-piece Fred Barton Orchestra, AN EVENING OF JERRY HERMAN. The evening was directed and choreographed by Scott Thompson and produced, orchestrated and hosted by Fred Barton, and starred Klea Blackhurst, Toni DiBuono, Jeffry Denman, Tari Kelly, Damon Kirsche, Beth Leavel, Karen Murphy and the inimitable Lee Roy Reams. Southwestern University to Stage GYPSY, 3/26-30

Southwestern University is proud to present Gypsy, with book by Arthur Laurents, music by Jule Styne, and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, March 26-30, 2014. Gypsy is directed by Rick Roemer. Performances will run at 7:30pm on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 2:00pm on Saturday and Sunday at the Alma Thomas Theater. Tickets are $10-20.
