Jenny Galloway and David Hayman are set to join previously announced Jude Law and Ruth Wilson in ANNA CHRISTIE at Donmar Warehouse. They will play Marthy Owens and Chris Christopherson respectively. The show will run August 4 - October 10. Rob Ashford is on board to direct the production.
Jane Krakowski, the Tony Award winning Broadway star of Nine and two-time Emmy nominee for NBC-TV's comedy sensation, 30 Rock, has been added to the line-up of stars scheduled to perform in 'The Very, Very Best of Broadway' concert scheduled for Saturday, July 9 as part of the new, annual BlackCreek Summer Music Festival. She joins previously announced stars Audra McDonald, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Martin Short for an evening of Broadway showstoppers led by pops conductor and BlackCreek Artistic Advisor, Marvin Hamlisch, and featuring the BlackCreek Orchestra and Chorus.
Nominations for the 56th Annual Drama Desk Awards will be announced at a news conference on Monday, May 2, 2011, at 9:30 AM at the New York Friars Club, 57 East 55th Street, in Manhattan. A continental breakfast will be available at 8:45 AM. Drama Desk and Tony winners Audra McDonald and Liev Schreiber will announce the nominations in the various categories. Rehearsals are still just under a year away, but the casting work on the upcoming EVITA revival is heating up. Sources tell us that a number of Broadway's highest profile baritones will be auditioning for the show's creative team later this month, with a casting announcement expected shortly thereafter. We're told that almost every well-known baritone that you can think of (and then some!) have appointments to be seen by the creative team of the highly anticipated revival to potentially star opposite Ricky Martin and Elena Roger.

Matt Logan is a force of nature. Voice casting has been announced for the upcoming Dreamworks Animation film 'Rise of the Guardians.' Included in the cast are Chris Pine, Hugh Jackman, Alec Baldwin, Isla Fisher and Jude Law, as reported by Variety. The screenplay was written by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire, who recently released a film version of his Pulitzer Prize winning play Rabbit Role.
According to Variety, Stars of the stage and screen Alec Baldwin, Hugh Jackman, Jude Law, and Chris Pine are set to voice animated characeters in the upcoming 3D movie: Rise of the Guardians, The film is expected to be released in November 2012. David Lindsay-Abaire will write te screenplay for the movie, while Peter Ramsey and William Joyce are set to direct.
Today, an Equity Principle Casting notice reveals that previews will begin in March of 2012 in anticipation of an April 2012 opening. Rehearsals begin in February of that year.
As per ETOnline, Sherlock Holmes 2 is once again directed by Guy Ritchie and will be in theaters Dec. 16. This time out, we find Robert Downey Jr. returning as Holmes and Jude Law returning as Watson in turn-of-the-century London and facing their toughest adversary, Professor Moriarty, played by Jared Harris. Swedish 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' star Noomi Rapace also joins the sleuthing pair for all the action as a mysterious femme fatale.
