Gate Theatre Announces New Associates and Full Line-up for Intransit Festival Takeover

Following the recent announcement of her inaugural season as Artistic Director of Gate Theatre, Ellen McDougall today announces two new Associates joining the Gate - Jude Christian, and Anthony Simpson-Pike. Former Associate Director Lynette Linton also re-joins the team as Director of the Young Associates programme.

Bruntwood Prize Announce Growth in 2017 Entries

Today, property company Bruntwood together with the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester have announced that the 2017 Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting has inspired 1,898 writers to submit their plays to Europe's largest prize for playwriting - which closed for entries on Monday 5 June.

BWW Review: SHOPPING AND F**KING, Lyric Hammersmith, 14 October 2016

It's been twenty years since Mark Ravenhill's notoriously titled Shopping and F**king was first staged at the Royal Court. In his foreword for the Lyric Hammersmith's anniversary production, Ravenhill describes the show's scandalous reputation - and its actual reception. 1996 audiences may have been - largely - ready to nod seriously at plays highlighting such 'issues', but this production, directed by Sean Holmes, seems aimed at a broader demographic than just the theatrical intelligentsia.

Finborough Theatre Presents the World Premiere of HARAJUKU GIRLS

The world premiere of a new play set in Japan - HARAJUKU GIRLS opens at the Finborough Theatre for a four week limited season on Tuesday, 24 February 2015 (Press Nights: Thursday, 26 February 2015 and Friday, 27 February 2015 at 7.30pm).
