The Keegan Theatre is proud to announce the launch of its new programming arm, the Boiler Room Series.

The Keegan Theatre kicks off its 21st season with Marie Jones' wicked tragicomedy Stones in His Pockets, directed by Abigail Isaac Fine and starring Keegan company members and audience favorites Matthew J. Keenan and Josh Sticklin. Beyond the hilarious and thought-provoking story of Stones in His Pockets, the audience will enjoy the unique style of storytelling with Josh Sticklin and Matthew Keenan performing all fifteen roles (men & women), often switching gender and voice with swift dexterity and the absolute bare minimum of costume changes.

Today's subject, Julie Dixon, is currently living her theatre life onstage at the Theatre Lab School of the Dramatic Arts where she will be opening in the pop rock musical Chess. The production plays this weekend through May 6th.

Today's subject Tina Ghandchilar is currently living her theatre life in the most stoked way possible. She is currently preparing to star as Florence in Chess at The Theatre Lab School for the Dramatic Arts, which, in my opinion, is the best arts in education institution in DC. The production runs from April 27th through May 6th.

Keegan Theatre's world premiere play Mack,Beth teaches us a few things about how not to do a modern adaptation of William Shakespeare's Scottish play.

Keegan Theatre kicks off its spring season with the high-octane rock musical American Idiot. Based on Green Day's Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum album and featuring the hits "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," "21 Guns," "Holiday" and the hit title track, American Idiot boldly took the American musical in a new direction, capturing not just the sound of a generation, but also the frustrations, fears, dreams and challenges of becoming an adult in the media-saturated, post-9/11 era.

This holiday season, Dublin, Ireland has its own 'Scrooge' to reform on a windy Christmas Eve in the Keegan Theatre's beloved holiday tradition, AN IRISH CAROL. Written by Matthew J Keenan and directed by Mark A. Rhea, AN IRISH CAROL is back on stage for its five year anniversary.

Jessica Dickey's world-premiere comedic drama THE GUARD, currently playing at Ford's Theatre, paints masterful depictions of not only Rembrandt and Homer, but also those in modern times who cherish their works and wish to find beauty and memory themselves.

Ford's Theatre Society welcomes Tim Getman (Round House's Rapture, Blister, Burn; Fool for Love), Mitchell Hebert (Ford's The Laramie Project), Josh Sticklin (Keegan Theatre's Midsummer Night's Riot), Kathryn Tkel (Kennedy Center's Mockingbird) and Craig Wallace (Ford's The Laramie Project, Our Town, Necessary Sacrifices, others) will comprise the cast of THE GUARD, a world-premiere comedic drama by playwright Jessica Dickey.
