The stars will align for the 27th Annual Easter Bonnet Competition when Tom Hanks, Cyndi Lauper, Harvey Fierstein, Andrea Martin, Nathan Lane and more than 200 of Broadway and Off-Broadway's most talented performers join together for the annual event, presented by and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This year's Easter Bonnet Competition will be held today, April 22 and Tuesday, April 23 at the Minskoff Theatre, 200 West 45th Street.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) today announced the selections for the 2013 Next Link Project, NYMF's primary writer service program. The Next Link Project empowers emerging musical theatre writing teams as both artists and entrepreneurs by providing the training and relationships needed to help them move their musicals from readings to fully-realized productions and to advance their careers by maximizing the exposure they receive in the Festival. Ten of the Festival's full production slots are reserved for participants in The Next Link Project.

Beyond Workshop Series, R.Evolucion Latina's interdisciplinary, international, immersion scholarship program that challenges artists to further develop the well-rounded technical skills, self-confidence and critical leadership skills required to unite our community, returns this year!

SMASH makes it's long-awaited return to the NBC lineup for a second season on Tuesday, February 5 (9-10 p.m. ET) and will continue in its regular time slot on Tuesday, February 12 (10-11 p.m. ET). Season two will feature a slew of new talent, including Jennifer Hudson, Jeremy Jordan, Andy Mientus, Krysta Rodriguez, Sean Hayes, Jesse L. Martin, Liza Minnelli, Bernadette Peters, Nikki Blonski, and more.

At a press conference held at Barrington Stage Company's St. Germain Stage, Artistic Director Julianne Boyd announced the 2013 season of musicals and plays that will take place in downtown Pittsfield in the Boyd-Quinson Mainstage and St. Germain Stage (formerly Stage 2) venues in 2013. For two weeks in July and August, 2012, East Hampton Studio will transform into America's first pop-up dance studio, as the hottest choreographers from Hollywood and Broadway hit the Hamptons for Dance House USA. Dancers of all levels will work with the best of the best to identify their "X-factor" through full days of classes, workshops, rehearsals, live nightly events, and collaboration with star choreographers, including Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba and Smash choreographer Josh Bergasse.

Between July 1st and July 5th they will all offer audition workshops during the event for participants. The workshops will be led by Tony Award-winning Newsies Choreographer Christopher Gatelli, Smash Choreographer Josh Bergasse, Matilda Casting Director Nora Brennan, Flashdance Choreographer Sergio Trujillo, Cirque du Soleil Dance Casting Director Nicole Lamontagne and Radio City Christmas Spectacular Casting Coordinators Michelle Kashinsky and Beth Zitzman.

Internationally renowned Meistersinger Caranza and soprano Emily Stokes will be the headliners this coming Tuesday, June 12, at 8 PM in the Enrico Caruso Room at Little Italy's legendary Grotta Azzurra Ristorante, located at 177 Mulberry Street on the corner of Broome Street. Ms. Stokes, who is the winner of the Teaneck Cabaret Competition this past Memorial Day, is replacing the previously scheduled soprano Michelle Trovato, who had to drop out because of illness.
