Queen City Theatre Company announces auditions for the musicals GREY GARDENS and EVITA to be held on Sunday November 15th from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Monday November 16th from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. This is an oportunity for actors/singers to be cast in two of the most succesfull shows of all times in one unified audition for both. Culture Project has announced that it will present a special one-night-only performance of 'The Atheist', written by Ronan Noone, directed by Justin Waldman and starring Campbell Scott on May 20th.
When Grey Gardens transferred to Broadway, the cast album had already been recorded for the Off-Broadway production. However, the authrs wrote three new songs that don't appear on that recording. Scott Frankel came by the Broadway Bullet studio along with actors, Matt Cavenaugh and Erin Davie to chat about the show, and sing the new songs
Maureen Moore, the respected performer who has previously gone on for such stars as Bernadette Peters, will serve as the standby for Christine Ebersole in the upcoming Broadway musical Grey Gardens; Dale Soules and Megan Lewis are among the other standbys, as well
The production, conducted by Sir Neville Marriner and directed by Edward Berkeley, will be performed March 17-19 and 22, 2005.
