UK theatre website Whats On Stage is reporting that Sister Act: The Musical will receive its European premiere in the West End next year, opening June 2nd, 2009 at the London Palladium, the current home of The Sound of Music. Sister Act: The Musical will begin previews on May 7th, 2009.

Some principal casting, as well as the creative team, has been announced for the upcoming musical version of Sister Act

Alan Menken's Sister Act musical will play Atlanta's Alliance Theatre from January 17th through February 25th, 2007, after playing the Pasadena Playhouse in fall of 2006

In November of 2006, a musical version of Sister Act with music by Alan Menken will premiere at the Pasadena Playhouse in California
