Oppressed in Heels and A Letter for You presents THE TROJAN WOMEN, a new devised work pulled from interviews of women dealing with war in its many ravaging forms weaved into the narrative of Euripides' classic text. Nathaniel P. Claridad (the original company of Here Lies Love) directs and serves as head writer for the new investigative theatre piece that will play October 23rd through November 1 at the Access Theatre.

The world premiere musical First Daughter Suite, written by Michael John LaChiusa, and debuting at The Public Theater, directed by Kirsten Sanderson, runs now through Sunday, November 15, the show just opened last night and BroadwayWorld was there. Check out photos from the festivities below!

On Tuesday, September 29, immediately upon completion of filming his starring role on the fourth season of the Cinemax series 'Banshee,' Hoon Lee joined Tony winner Kelli O'Hara and the company, assuming the role of The King, which was originated for this production by Tony Award nominee Ken Watanabe. The Tectonic Theater Project has announced the full cast for its star-studded one-night-only special benefit reading of Moises Kaufman's GROSS INDECENCY: THE THREE TRIALS OF OSCAR WILDE, the award-winning play about Oscar Wilde and the trials for his 'crime' of homosexuality.

The Tony Award-winning production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's THE KING AND I, directed by Bartlett Sher, at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street), welcomes a new leader tonight, September 29.

Broadway fans celebrated the 29th Annual Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction by bidding on and buying everything from tickets to a bevy of opening night performances to custom-made music mixes, from autographed musical phrases to once-in-a-lifetime theatrical experiences. The result: a record $756,655 was raised for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
