Shattered Globe to Stage THE GROWN-UP as Final Show of 2014-15 Season

Shattered Globe Theatre is pleased to announce the final production of its 2014-15 season: the Chicago premiere of Jordan Harrison's magical coming-of-age tale THE GROWN-UP, directed by Krissy Vanderwarker, playing April 9 - May 23, 2014 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago.

Playwrights Horizons Names Adam Greenfield New Associate Artistic Director

Playwrights Horizons announced today the promotion of the theater company's Director of New Play Development Adam Greenfield to Associate Artistic Director. This is the first major change to the Artistic leadership of the acclaimed organization since Mr. Sanford was promoted from the same associate position to become Artistic Director in 1996.

Sheila Callaghan's EVERYTHING YOU TOUCH Begins 1/28 at Rattlestick

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, True Love Productions and The Theatre @ Boston Court have announced that the New York Premiere of Everything You Touch, written by Sheila Callaghan and directed by Jessica Kubzansky, will begin previews Wednesday, January 28 at 8pm at the Cherry Lane Theatre, 38 Commerce Street. The official opening night is set for Thursday, February 12 at 7pm. Everything You Touch is scheduled to run through Sunday, March 29, 2015.

Bluebarn Theatre to Present STANDING ON CEREMONY: THE GAY MARRIAGE PLAYS

The BLUEBARN Theatre will present the regional premiere of Standing on Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays written by an A-list lineup of writers including Mo Gaffney, Jordan Harrison, Moise?s Kaufman, Neil LaBute, Wendy MacLeod, Jose? Rivera, Paul Rudnick, and Doug Wright; Conceived by Brian Shnipper. The play runs January 8-17, 2015.

Los Altos Stage Company to Present MAPLE AND VINE, 1/29-2/22

The Los Altos Stage Company proudly presents the third play of our 2014/2015 Season, a dark comedy by playwright Jordan Harrison that explores our absurd adoration of yesteryear and the lengths we will go to escape our present-day realities. Maple & Vine opens January 29 and runs through February 22 at the Bus Barn Theater in Los Altos.

Trustus Theatre to Present STANDING ON CEREMONY: THE GAY MARRIAGE PLAYS in January

Trustus Theatre will start the new year in the Richard and Debbie Cohn Trustus Side Door Theatre on January 3rd at 8:00pm with a collection of topical plays by some of America's most acclaimed playwrights: Standing on Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays. With marriage laws changing in South Carolina, this production will stand as a powerfully relevant piece in the intimate 50-seat theatre. Trustus will hold a talk-back following the performance on January 11th, 2015. Patrons are encouraged to make their reservations early at www.trustus.org.

Written by Diana Son and directed by Pasadena Playhouse Associate Artistic Director Seema Sueko, STOP KISS stars Sharon Leal (Bill Condon's Dreamgirls, Fox's 'Boston Public,' and Lionsgate's Addicted), Angela Lin (Broadway's Chinglish), John Sloan (Fox's 'Happy Hour'), Brandon Scott (ABC's 'Grey's Anatomy'), Amanda Carlin (Liar Liar), and Jeff De Serrano (A&E's 'Longmire'). The production is performed tonight, November 4 - 30, 2014 with the official press night on Wednesday, November 9, 2014.

BWW Reviews: MARJORIE PRIME World Premieres at Taper

Audiences may be somewhat confused, but nonetheless intrigued and maybe even stimulated by Jordan Harrison's world premiere play Marjorie Prime now onstage at the Mark Taper Forum through October 19. It's an insightful 80-minute one-act but would most likely work better in tandem with another one-act, to ensure a thoroughly fulfilling evening of theatre.

Trustus Theatre to Offer Talk-Backs Throughout 30th Anniversary Season

Trustus Theatre is kicking off its thirtieth anniversary season with Christopher Durang's hilarious "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike," winner of the 2012 Tony Award for Best Play. Michelle Sutherland's EMILY DICKINSON OUTER SPACE! Plays the Bushwick Starr, Now thru 9/6

In a three-day marathon performance that is part intergalactic jam session and part haunted house party, Emily Dickinson OUTER SPACE! explores the uncharted dimensions of Dickinson's poetry in search of what it means to be American, wild, and free. A performance event as vast as the cosmos, this is the second installment in The POP Trilogy from award-winning artist collective Theater Plastique (Gertrude Stein SAINTS!). Following a workshop performance at The Fury Factory Festival of Ensemble Theater in San Francisco in July 2014, Emily Dickinson OUTER SPACE returns to her native coast this September at The Bushwick Starr. Over the course of 72 continuous hours, the doors of the theater will remain open for a performance event featuring 88 singers, dancers, and musicians wherein Theater Plastique invites the vastness of Dickinson's poetry to again build a universe within a single room.
