The award-winning companies VS. Theatre and Firefly Theater & Films are co-producing the West Coast Premiere of a newly revised version of Itamar Moses' COMPLETENESS. The production will be directed by Philadelphia's multi-Barrymore Award-nominee and F. The Public Theater announced a two-week extension today for The Fortress of Solitude, a world premiere musical based on the nationally best-selling novel of the same name by Jonathan Lethem. With a book by Itamar Moses, music and lyrics by Michael Friedman, and conceived and directed by Daniel Aukin, The Fortress of Solitude began previews on Tuesday, September 30 and was officially scheduled to close on Sunday, November 2. It will now run an additional two weeks through Sunday, November 16.

New York Stage and Film and Vassar College, this summer celebrating the 30th year of their Powerhouse Theater collaboration, previously announced that Golden Globe and Emmy Award winner Kyra Sedgwick would lead the cast of Academy Award and Tony Award winner John Patrick Shanley's new play The Danish Widow, which premieres today, July 16, and continues through July 27, 2014 at Hallie Flanagan-Davis Powerhouse Theater at Vassar College. Shanley also directs the cast which also includes multitalented Broadway vets Craig Bierko and Matt McGrath, as well as stage and screen actress Annika Boras.
