"No day but today", RENT, the popular 1996 musical, is opening this weekend in a unique location and will be produced and performed by Shepherd University students.

Laughing Dog Media has announced Broadway star and vocal powerhouse JAMES BARBOUR'S Special Guest Artists at his Sixth Annual Holiday Concert. STEPHEN WALLEM will join Mr. Barbour on stage Saturday, December 7. MARY TESTA will join Mr. Barbour on stage Thursday, December 12.

Prospect Theater Company will present a private developmental reading of the original musical The Underclassman on Monday, November 25th at New 42nd Street Studios (229 West 42nd Street, NYC). The Underclassman follows the early life of F. Scott Fitzgerald, from 1914 - 1917. Brilliantly talented, Fitzgerald is swept into the hierarchy of Ivy League society and the antics of the Princeton Triangle Club, in pursuit of the beautiful and elusive debutante Ginevra King - who became the model for the character of Daisy Buchanan in The Great Gatsby.

L'idea di base e di per se interessante: quattro personaggi, due storie che trascendono tempo, spazio e dimensioni. Da un lato abbiamo la perfetta love story tra due ragazzi newyorkesi, Dave e Amy. Dall'altro abbiamo l'amore 'travagliato' tra Nico, un insicuro doppiatore italiano, e Giulia, la sua psicoterapeuta. I due piani scorrono in parallelo, sfiorandosi appena in un epilogo dolceamaro che ribaltera le carte in tavola (non svelero altro, se volete sapere come va a finire andate a vederlo!).
