MCC THEATER yesterday announced The Carrie Anticipation Contest: Why Are You Excited About Carrie?. Theater fans all around the world are encouraged to submit a video explaining why they are excited for what is shaping up to be the most anticipated theatrical event of the season: MCC's upcoming production of Carrie. From all the submitted videos, one winner will win a pair of VIP tickets to MCC Theater's Opening Night performance and after-party on March 1, 2012. The casts of FOX's hottest shows recently attended the 2012 All Star Party as a part of the TCA Winter Press Tour to promote the 2012 season. The smash-hit musical Spring Awakening receives its regional premiere in Seattle this January, courtesy of the award-winning Balagan Theatre and featuring the very best of the Seattle theatre scene's next generation.

Balagan Theatre will produce the regional premiere of Spring Awakening this January, directed by Seattle musical mainstay Eric Ankrim and featuring promising young local actors Brian Earp, Jerick Hoffer, and Diana Huey as the leading trio in this coming-of-age rock musical.

According to TVLine, Broadway veteran and frequent GLEE guest star Jonathan Groff is set to visit CBS' 'The Good Wife' this winter. Groff will play 'Jimmy, a plaintiff suing a software company after his sister disappears during a peaceful protest in Syria.' The episode is set to air in February.

On December 10th and 11th, Christopher J. Hanke and Telly Leung joined Broadway Artists Alliance to lead master classes. Hanke led a How to Succeed...-themed master class, and Leung led a GLEE-themed master class. Both performers worked on song interpretation with a very fortunate group of students, and led a Q&A session. Check out photos from both events below!

With Annie returning to Broadway in 2012, Broadway Artists Alliance of New York City was pleased to present an Annie-themed master classes on December 11th with original Annie star Andrea McArdle and a casting representative from Telsey + Company.

Helen Mirren will lend her voice to an upcoming episode of FOX's GLEE, according to TVLine.com. Their source commented: "Helen came in and secretly recorded several long and hilarious monologues two weeks ago. Then she visited the kids on set, and they had no idea she was coming; they were stunned."
