SPRING AWAKENING Returns to Seattle, 4/20 - 5/6

Amy Adams to Play 'Baker's Wife' in Shakespeare in the Park's INTO THE WOODS; Oliver Platt, Robert Joy Join Cast of AS YOU LIKE IT

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Patrick Willingham) announced additional casting today for the 50th Anniversary season of free Shakespeare in the Park at the Delacorte. Robert Joy (Le Beau, Lord) and Oliver Platt (Touchstone) join the previously announced MacIntyre Dixon (Adam), David Furr (Orlando), Renee Elise Goldsberry (Celia), Omar Metwally (Oliver), Lily Rabe (Rosalind), and Stephen Spinella (Jaques) in Shakespeare's comedy AS YOU LIKE IT, directed by Daniel Sullivan.

Looking back on his performances on Broadway, from INHERIT THE WIND opposite Christopher Plummer and Denis O'Hare all the way to his starring role in the recent emo rock musical BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON, Walker discusses his perception of the roles he has played so far as well as the finer points of working on those shows, in addition to shining a light on his stand-up comedy roots, how he came to devise FIND THE FUNNY and what we can expect from the show on Tuesday night. As part of the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall's commitment to its Education Program, SETH RUDETSKY has been invited to hold a complimentary Master Class on Audition Techniques on April 2nd from 1:30-3:00 PM. This Master Class is being held on the day Seth will be at the Van Wezel to announce the Hall's 2012/13 Broadway Season.

Whoopi Goldberg to Guest Star on GLEE This Spring!

GLEE returns from its winter hiatus in just 2 weeks on April 10, and according to published reports, stage and screen star Whoopi Goldberg has signed on for a multi-episode arc this spring. According to Ohnotheydidnt, Goldberg will play 'Carmen Tibideaux, a theatrical grande dame and a professor at New York Academy of the Dramatic Arts (NYADA) who travels to Ohio to preside over Kurt and Rachel's auditions.'
