Jim Dale, Lillias White, CROSS THAT RIVER et al. Coming up at the Eugene O'Neill

The Cabaret & Performance Conference, led by artistic director Michael Bush, will present five more nights of new work featuring world-class entertainers. The week begins Tuesday, August 9 at 8pm with Jim Dale, Tony-Winner and voice of the Harry Potter audio books in his one-man show Jim Dale: Still Carrying On. Wednesday is Lillias White: From Brooklyn to Broadway, a personal journey with one of the musical theater?s great ladies, which will perform August 10 at 8pm.

Composer, lyricist and book writer, Jonathan Brielle, Artistic Director of The Development Wing served as both master of ceremonies and performer as he authored the three musicals presented that evening.

Not nearly as dark as it needs to be or musically enticing enough, Nightmare Alley at the Geffen, by its very nature should be diabolically thrilling like a Kander and Ebb musical but it doesn't cut the mustard, even with its exceptional cast including James Barbour, Larry Cedar and Mary Gordon Murray.

San Diego - The Old Globe is pleased to present the world-premiere musical Himself and Nora, by Jonathan Brielle (composer and co-lyricist) and Sheila Walsh (author and co-lyricist), directed by Globe Associate Artist Joseph Hardy and Jeff Calhoun. This fascinating new piece about James Joyce and his relationship with his lover and 'muse' Nora Barnacle runs in the Old Globe Theatre March 16 through April 24 (press opening: March 24).
