Cast members from the Broadway production of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, the longest-running show in Broadway history, will sing holiday songs live throughout Good Morning America on ABC, this coming Monday morning December 22. Led by PHANTOM star Patricia Phillips, the first-ever African-American to play opera diva Carlotta Giudicelli, the cast's performances are in recognition of the special 10th Anniversary of Broadway's Greatest Gifts: Carols for a Cure, the annual holiday CD which benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. On this year's CD, the cast of PHANTOM can be heard singing their folk version of 'Away in a Manger,' arranged by cast member and acoustic guitarist Geoff Packard.

Further demonstrating its commitment to quality 3-D motion picture entertainment, The Walt Disney Studios has begun re-rendering its Oscar(R)-winning animated favorite, 'Beauty and the Beast,' in preparation for its Disney Digital 3-D(TM) debut on the big screen in 2010, it was announced today by Mark Zoradi, president, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Group.
James Bourne Pens Musical for Youth Music Theatre UK

James Bourne, best known for appearing in the bands Busted and Son of Dork and for his songwriting credits with McFly and Boyzone, is to write a new musical for Youth Music Theatre UK. The new show, entitled Loserville: The Musical, will be an entirely new musical with an original story inspired by Son Of Dorks last album Welcome to Loserville. The show will be staged in Leeds in August, with a planned London transfer for 2010.

Giovanni Spina had a passion to entertain since his preschool days, where he often could be found singing and dancing in the living rooms of his friends and family. This progressed to performing in school plays and musicals and soon he was attending, you guessed it, a performing arts high school. He succeeded in expanding his talents and decided to pursue his passion further by auditioning for the theatre program at the prestigious Ryerson University in Toronto. He was just about ready to begin theatre classes at Ryerson, where he beat out 2,000 aspiring actors for a spot in the program when he got the call about an audition for a small role in a little something called…Camp Rock.

Newly confirmed for CLASSICAL @ROSS are Grammy Award winning pianist, Emanuel Ax and the critically acclaimed classical violinist, Joshua Bell. THEATER @ROSS confirms Michael Cavanaugh, who was personally chosen by Billy Joel to be the star of 'Movin' Out'. International best selling author and lecturer Marianne Willamson is confirmed to take part in the WELL-BEING @ROSS event. Also, the hilarious Greg Giraldo joins the COMEDY @ROSS lineup. Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group will provide food for all the events except Andre Agassi Foundation benefit.
