The new musical, ANASTASIA, will open on Broadway on April 24, 2017 at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street), produced by Stage Entertainment, Bill Taylor (Sister Act, Rocky), Tom Kirdahy (It's Only A Play, The Visit) and Hunter Arnold (Kinky Boots, Spring Awakening). On this day in 2012, Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's landmark musical EVITA received its first Broadway revival at the Marquis Theatre. It was the first new Broadway production of the seven-time Tony Award-winning musical since it debuted on Broadway over 30 years ago.

Jennifer Diamond is set to make her Joe's Pub solo debut on March 27th, at 9:30 P.M. After selling out at FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, with her debut act, IT MY FIRST TIME: PLEASE BE GENTLE, she's bringing it to the LES's music hot-spot with IT'S MY FIRST TIME: DOWNTOWN EDITION. Both were directed by longtime pal Richard Jay-Alexander. They first worked together on LES MISERABLES and a number of benefits, and Jay-Alexander found her uniquely talented and versatile enough to put a special spin on a debut act for her, visiting her arrival into the business, her story as an up-and-coming actress and all the good and bad (and bad) that goes with it. New material has been added and, of course, new stories continue in the saga of "Girl comes to New York to Take Broadway By Storm."

Music Theatre Wichita continues its 45th summer season with a large-scale production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast at Century II Concert Hall in downtown Wichita, KS. As of Monday, June 27, six of the eight performances are sold out.

Casting is announced today for Music Theatre Wichita's 45th Season, which includes Disney's "Beauty and the Beast," Rodgers & Hammerstein's "Oklahoma!," "Jesus Christ Superstar," and the regional premieres of "Nice Work If You Can Get It" and "Mamma Mia!"  

Anastasia will be led by Christy Altomare and Derek Klena. Klena and Altomare have worked together before in the revised production of CARRIE off-Broadway, directed by ALLEGIANCE's Stafford Arima. Hartford Stage Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak has officially announced an electrifying cast of Broadway veterans for the premiere of the new musical ANASTASIA, which is inspired by the real life of Grand Duchess Anastasia Romanov and the enduring mystery of her true identity. ANASTASIA plays May 12 through June 12, 2016.

The Old Globe's presentation of Kiss Me, Kate, the classic musical comedy featuring a book by Sam and Bella Spewack and an iconic score by Cole Porter, will now add a week by popular demand and run through August 9 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Tickets for the extension will go on sale this Sunday, July 12 at noon.
