ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY on Digital HD March 24th and Blu-ray April 4th

Announced today on The Star Wars Show and StarWars.com, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” will be coming home on Digital HD on March 24th and Blu-ray on April 4th.  This news comes on the heels of the start of production announcement of the untitled Han Solo Star Wars Story.  “Rogue One” has established its place within the Star Wars universe and the hearts of moviegoers, becoming the seventh highest-grossing film of all time in the U.S. 

Classical Guitarist Dimitris Dekavallas Comes to the MAC

The New England Guitar Society's International Performer concert series will continue with guitarist Dimitris Dekavallas on Saturday, March 11that 8 pm. Born in Athens/Greece, Dimitris discovered the guitar at the age of five. After receiving numerous scholarships, he studied at the Royal Academy of Music with such luminaries as John Williams and David Russell. He then launched an international career, which includes concerts on four continents, CD releases and awards at competitions. His Milford program on March 11th will include virtuoso guitar favorites by Mertz, Giuliani, Piazzolla, Villa-Lobos and more.

Utah Symphony Announces FILMS IN CONCERT As Part Of 2017-2018 Season

Building upon the audience excitement for film screenings  coupled with live orchestra playing the soundtrack, the Utah Symphony proudly announced the creation of a Films in Concert series on its 2017-18 season featuring four orchestra presentations paired with motion pictures on the big screen at Abravanel Hall.

'Moana' star Auli'i Cravalho to Make Hawai'i Symphony Orchestra Debut in A NIGHT ON THE RED CARPET, Today

"Moana" star Auli'i Cravalho will make her Hawai'i Symphony Orchestra  (HSO) debut in "A Night on the Red Carpet" on Today, February 17 at 7:30 pm. Featuring a parade of hits under the direction of Maestro Richard Kaufman, "A Night on the Red Carpet" brings to life unforgettable film scores. The voice of Moana in the Disney blockbuster, Cravalho will perform "How Far I'll Go," written by Lin-Manuel Miranda and recently nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song. San Antonio Symphony Presents Live-to-Picture 'Jurassic Park in Concert' in February 2017

The Symphony and The Majestic Theatre are teaming up with Santikos Entertainment once again to create movie magic with the North American premiere of "Jurassic Park in Concert". The full-length film classic features legendary composer John Williams' iconic musical score and will be performed in HD, with live-to-picture by the San Antonio Symphony.  "Jurassic Park in Concert" comes to the Majestic on February 17-18, 2017, with shows at 8 p.m. both days and 2 p.m. on February 18. 

Grand Rapids Symphony's 2017-18 Season Paves the Way Back to Carnegie Hall

Globally-renowned violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter and her longtime musical partner pianist Lambert Orkis give 11 performances across the United States in Spring 2017. The duo have spent nearly 30 years making music together, resulting in numerous successful Deutsche Grammophon recordings, earning Grammy® Awards, an ECHO Award, as well as a Choc de l'Année Award. The recital program will be played in seven cities including San Francisco's Davies Symphony Hall, New York's Carnegie Hall and Washington DC's Kennedy Center, with a program including works by Sebastian Currier – who previously wrote a number of other works for Mrs. Mutter such as Aftersong (1994) and Ringtone Variations (2013) - Mozart, Respighi, and Saint-Saëns. Mrs. Mutter concludes the tour with a four-date engagement with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Andris Nelsons, where the concert program features selections by Tchaikovsky and Nostalghia by Toru Takemitsu, which Mrs. Mutter played at her 35th Anniversary concert of her Japanese debut.
