This July 4th, America's national Independence Day celebration kicks off our country's 242nd birthday, as A CAPITOL FOURTH on PBS welcomes back Emmy Award-nominated actor and producer John Stamos (FULLER HOUSE, SCREAM QUEENS) to host the festivities. Broadcast live on PBS from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol, this time-honored 38 year-tradition puts viewers front and center for America's biggest birthday party with the greatest display of fireworks anywhere in the nation lighting up the iconic D.C. skyline. The country's longest-running live national July 4 TV tradition will feature all-star musical performances by: multi-platinum selling music legend Jimmy Buffett with the Broadway cast of the new musical ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE, making their first stop after Broadway at the U.S. Capitol before launching a national tour; 'America's Band,” the iconic multi-platinum selling music legends The Beach Boys; three-time Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum selling artist Pentatonix; legendary Motown stars The Temptations; acclaimed multi-platinum country music singer-songwriter and winner of the iHeartRadio Music Award for Best New Country Artist Luke Combs; country music star and AMERICAN IDOL alum Lauren Alaina; 12-time Grammy Award-winner and gospel legend CeCe Winans; and internationally acclaimed Grammy award winning violinist Joshua Bell; with the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of top pops conductor Jack Everly (additional performers to be announced).

The Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) gave multiple performances of its BRAVO! School Day Concert featuring Grammy-nominated beatboxer Christylez Bacon and electric cellist Wytold for area elementary students in Princeton's Richardson Auditorium and Trenton's Grace A. Dunn Middle School on May 15 and 16, respectively. The program featured exciting orchestral music, movie themes, and hip hop! PSO Music Director Rossen Milanov conducted the orchestra at all five concerts. The concerts were provided free of charge through the support of individual and corporate donors.

The Beach Boys, 'America's Band,' are set to bring their iconic Southern Californian sound worldwide with the launch of their 2018 'Now & Then' Tour. Kicking off May 25th in Springfield, IL, the highly-anticipated tour will feature the band's biggest hits and beloved fan favorites, such as 'Good Vibrations,' 'Fun, Fun, Fun,' 'Kokomo,' 'I Get Around,' and many more, with performances spanning across Canada, Ireland, and England.

Sarasota Opera's Da Capo Society, the only young patrons group, ages 21 - 45, dedicated to a single arts organization in Sarasota, will host The Wizard of Oz themed costume contest Thursday, June 7th at 6pm to celebrate the launch of the new season of "Classic Movies at the Opera House." Launched in 2017, the "Classic Movies at the Opera House" series will occur twice monthly starting Thursday, June 7 and will include timeless films designed to be enjoyed on the big screen in the elegance of the Opera House. Each presentation will begin at 7:30pm.

The York Symphony Orchestra will present The Magical Music of Harry Potter on Saturday, June 9 at 4 p.m. at the Appell Center for the Performing Arts in York. The performance will allow audiences to experience the magical music from the Harry Potter film series. Single tickets start at $9 for adults and all student tickets are $5.

The Utah Symphony today announced the lineup for the 2018 summer community concert series in Salt Lake City and surrounding areas, several of which feature outdoor venues. The schedule includes Gina Bachauer Piano Competition Finals on June 22 and 23 at 7 PM at Abravanel Hall, Gallivan Center on Monday June 25, Disney in Concert: "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" on June 27 and 28 at Abravanel Hall, the Utah Symphony at Snowbasin Resort on June 29 and August 7, the Utah Symphony at Thanksgiving Point on July 2, the Utah Symphony at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center on July 3, and Jenny Oaks Baker with the Utah Symphony on August 1 at Red Butte Garden Amphitheatre. Ticketing information is posted with each concert. No tickets are required for the Gallivan Center and Utah Cultural Celebration Center performances, which are free to the public. Tickets for the other performances are on sale now with ticketing information available at www.utahsymphony.org.

The Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) joined the Amadeus Choir and the Elmer Iseler Singers to present the third chapter of the Harry Potter: In Concert Series - HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN IN CONCERT. Beyond hearing the enchanting John Williams' score performed live by an incredible orchestra, the event is an incredible unifier - creating a space for Potter fans to congregate and celebrate.

SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY is an origin story about Han Solo, starring Alden Ehrenreich in the title role. The film is being produced by Lucasfilm from a screenplay by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan, and will be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The film will be the second Star Wars anthology film, following the 2016 film Rogue One. A stand-alone installment, set prior to the events of the original 1977 film, it explores the adventures of a young Han Solo and Chewbacca, including meeting Lando Calrissian. Ehrenreich stars alongside Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Joonas Suotamo, and Paul Bettany.

Philadelphia Youth Orchestra's Bravo Brass ensemble will proudly perform at their 15th Annual Festival Concert on Saturday, June 2 at 7:30 p.m. The performance will take place in the beautiful St. Mark's Church, 1625 Locust Street in Philadelphia, PA. Entitled Brass by Popular Demand, the program of music by John Williams, Mozart, Bernstein, Grieg, Gabrieli, Holst, and Wagner was selected based on responses to a public survey posted during the month of February. The concert will also feature three soloists-current Bravo Brass trumpeter Erik Larson, trombone alumnus Jason Stein, and Bravo Brass bass trombone faculty member and associate conductor Barry McCommon.

Seth MacFarlane returns to Cafe Carlyle with a one-night only late show on Monday, May 14. Perhaps best known as the creator of the television series "Family Guy," MacFarlane's talents encompass every aspect of the entertainment industry. He has created some of the most popular content on television and film today while also expanding his career in the worlds of music, science and philanthropy. For this special concert, MacFarlane performs selections from the Great American Songbook, joined by his band, including Tom Rainer (piano), Chuck Berghofer (bass), Larry Koonse (guitar), Peter Erskine (drums), Dan Higgins (saxophone), and Joel McNeely (flute).
