Original KINKY BOOTS cast member and two-time Tony nominee Stark Sands gives his final performance in the Cyndi Lauper, Harvey Fierstein, and Jerry Mitchell's Broadway hit, today, Jan. 26. Sands will be suceeded by Andy Kelso as 'Charlie Price' on Jan. 28.

According to The New York Times, South Korean Broadway producer Kim Byeong-seok of entertainment company CJ E&M, who helped produce the two productions on Broadway, is interested in bringing Tony winner 'KINKY' and the recently closed 'FISH' abroad.

Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig have announced new leads for their smash hit musical Kinky Boots; Andy Kelso, who currently plays 'Harry', will take over the role of 'Charlie Price' on January 28, 2014 following Stark Sands' January 26 departure. Jeanna de Waal will join the cast as 'Lauren,' beginning March 4, 2014 (replacing Annaleigh Ashford, who leaves to join the cast of Showtime's 'Masters of Sex'), and Jake Odmark joins the ensemble in the roles previously played by Andy Kelso. As previously announced, Billy Porter, this year's Tony Award-winner for Best Actor in a Musical, will remain with Kinky Boots.

Billy Porter, this year's Tony Award-winner for Best Actor in a Musical, has extended his contract in Kinky Boots, producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today; Porter will remain with the show at least through July 2014. They also announced that Natalie Joy Johnson (Legally Blonde) will join the cast of the smash hit musical, taking over for Tory Ross on December 23, 2013.

What kind of celebration would it be without the happiest show on Broadway? And that's why Kinky Boots, this year's Tony Award-winning Best Musical, has joined the line-up of performances at this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, it was announced today. The cast will perform Kinky Boots' glittering finale, 'Raise You Up' / 'Just Be' for the 87th Annual Parade, which will be broadcast live on NBC on Thursday, November 28 from 9 AM - noon EST (check local listings).

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts presents the national tour of Flashdance-The Musical from December 25, 2013 to January 19, 2014 in the Kennedy Center Eisenhower Theater. The producers of the new Broadway musical Soul Doctor, about the life and music of Shlomo Carlebach and his unlikely friendship with Nina Simone, announced today that the show will play its final performance on Sunday, October 13 at 3pm. Following a Off-Broadway run last year and in Fort Lauderdale, FL, Soul Doctor began previews at Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre on July 17 and had its official opening on Thursday, August 15. Upon its closing, Soul Doctor will have played 32 previews and 66 regular performances.
