The limited engagement of ROMANTIC POETRY celebrated opening night on Tuesday, October 28. Performances began September 30th 2008 at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street).

The upcoming film adaptation of John Patrick Shanley's DOUBT released its newest trailer, available right here on BroadwayWorld.com. The film is due to be released in the United States this December, with a limited release beginning on December 12th. The film will star Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams and Viola Davis.

Variety is reporting that stage and screen actor Philip Seymour Hoffman has just signed onto to lend his voice to the role of 'Max' in the upcoming Icon Film claymation feature 'Mary and Max'. The film center around the unlikely pen-pal friendshipe between Mary (voiced by Toni Collette), lonesome girl living in Australia and Max, a 40 something overweight man who suffers from Asperger's Syndrome living in New York. Eric Bana also stars and Barry Humphries narrates.

Stamford Theatre Works will open its 21st season in September at its barn theatre, 200 Strawberry Hill Avenue in Stamford, with 'The Mercy Seat' by Neil LaBute, September 17 - October 5.
