Lantern Theater Company to Host 'Quirk of Quarks' Following QED this Month

Lantern Theater Company presents The Quirks of Quarks: Richard Feynman's Legacy following the performances of QED on Sunday November 23 and Sunday, November 30. The discussion, delving into Richard Feynman's greatest discoveries and his lasting impact on the world of science, will be led by prominent local physicists Paul Halpern (November 23) and Kenneth William Ford (November 30) joined by the QED cast members. Admittance to both events is free to QED ticketholders.

THE SECRET ADVERSARY to Premiere at Watermill Theatre, Feb. 12

The Watermill Theatre is delighted to announce its Spring 2015 Season, with highlights including three world stage premieres; the first adaptation of Agatha Christie's The Secret Adversary, a new musical revue Tuxedo Junction compiled by Simon Slater, and E.H. Gombrich's bestseller A Little History of the World. The Spring 2015 season goes on sale on Monday 10 November at10am.

Who remembers when Sherlock Holmes needed the assistance of five street urchins named after his famous residence on 221b Baker Street to assist him in solving mysteries, a gang called "The Baker Street Irregulars?" Die hard fans of Sherlock Holmes, and now, Milwaukee, when First Stage presents their World Premiere play opening this October titled: Sherlock Holmes: The Baker Street Irregulars. Written by Eric Coble based on the graphic novels of Tony Lee, the production explores the three years when Holmes disappeared, or his hiatus," a time when one of the stories ended as he and his arch enemy Moriarty careened over a waterfall, supposedly to their deaths.

Peter Parnell's QED Completes Lantern Theater Company's 2014-15 Season

Lantern Theater Company announces the addition of QED by Peter Parnell to its 2014/15 mainstage season, completing a line-up that also includes Tom Stoppard's theatrical masterpiece Arcadia, John Patrick Shanley's Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning Doubt: A Parable, William Shakespeare's classic comedy of the sexes The Taming of the Shrew, and Steven Canny and John Nicholson's inventive and brilliantly farcical adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Hound of the Baskervilles.

NOW THEN AGAIN, THE LAST FIVE YEARS and More Set for Penfold Theatre's 2014-15 Season

On May 4th - at its annual fundraising gala, A Marvelous Party! - Penfold Theatre Company announced its 2014-15 season line-up: Now Then Again, Miracle on 34th Street: a classic Penfold radiocast, The Last Five Years, and The Hound of the Baskervilles. Penfold Theatre Company cultivates a love for live theatre in northern Travis and Williamson Counties by offering first-class, professional theatre performances and education programs. ARCADIA, DOUBT & More Set for Lantern Theater Company's 2014-15 Season

In the midst of their milestone 20th anniversary season, Lantern Theater Company today announced the productions that will comprise their 2014/15 season. Continuing a critically acclaimed tradition of presenting classic, modern and original works that authentically and intimately explore the human spirit, the season will open with Tom Stoppard's thrilling masterpiece Arcadia, directed by the Lantern's Associate Artistic Director Kathryn MacMillan. Arcadia will be presented in conjunction with a sixth annual festival of special events and guests, inviting audiences into the work and inspiring continued conversation. In the winter months, Barrymore Award-winning actors Mary Martello and Ben Dibble will headline John Patrick Shanley's Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning Doubt: A Parable, also directed by MacMillan. In the spring, Lantern Artistic Director Charles McMahon helms a fresh, sexy take on William Shakespeare's comedy of the sexes, The Taming of the Shrew. The season will close with an inventive and cheeky adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Hound of the Baskervilles, featuring Dave Johnson.

Renaissance Theaterworks to Stage SKIN TIGHT, 4/4-27

Renaissance Theaterworks (RTW) presents the 3rd show of its 21st season, SKIN TIGHT. In 2004, Laura Gordon had her first professional directorial debut with SKIN TIGHT, produced by Renaissance Theaterworks. 'We're ecstatic, ten years later, Laura and the original cast are returning to remount this poetic love story. I literally cannot wait to see it again' shares Suzan Fete, RTW's Artistic Director. Opening night is Saturday, April 5th at 8:00 pm.

Theater Project to Stage SHERLOCK HOLMES: THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES, 9/26-10/13

The Theater Project, the professional company at the Burgdorff Center in Maplewood will present a comedy, SHERLOCK HOLMES: THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES September 26 - October 13. The hound is more funny than ferocious in this comic retelling of the famous Conan Doyle mystery by Steve Canny and John Nicholson.

Single Tickets Now On Sale for Florida Rep's 2013-14 Season
