The RRazz Room, San Francisco's premier nightclub, will present a special week-long run of the legendary soul group HAROLD MELVIN'S BLUE NOTES. For their show, the Blue Notes will be singing all of their greatest hits including Grammy Award-nominated classics such as "If You Don't Know Me By Now," "The Love I Lost," "Don't Leave Me This Way," "Wake Up Everybody" and "Bad Luck." The group features vocalists Donnell Gillespie, better known as 'Big Daddy," Rufus Thorne (also called 'Fuss'), Anthony Brooks, and John Morris.
Rodgers & Hammerstein's PIPE DREAM, recorded live at New York City Center's Encores! series in March, will be released by Ghostlight Records today - Tuesday September 18. He told the story of his life on the radio, or as much as the FCC and the libel laws would allow.
