No official announcement has been made, but the production will indeed open this year, on November 7th.

Theatrical producer and Tony-Nominee Ken Davenport today announced the first-ever crowd-funded Broadway show.
Davenport is aiming to bring together the largest community of theater lovers and investors ever assembled to produce a production on Broadway with his upcoming revival of Godspell. An audition notice has went out for the upcoming Broadway production of GODSPELL, noting that performances will begin in the Spring/Summer of 2011. Specific dates and a theatre are as of yet unnamed.
