New Village Arts's popular proudction of OF MICE AND MEN plays its final performance today at the New Village Arts Theatre (2787 State Street, Carlsbad Village).

New Village Arts announced three additional performances of its sold out hit, OF MICE AND MEN. The extended performances will be showing at New Village Arts Theatre (2787 State Street, Carlsbad Village) November 22, 23 and 25 at 8 PM. Former Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen will return to television in summer 2012 on FX in Anger Management, a new sitcom loosely based on Revolution Studios' 2003 hit comedy feature of the same name, announced John Landgraf, President and General Manager, FX Networks.

The phrase 'you've got to see it on the big screen!' is often heard by film audiences, and it's true-some movies were simply meant to be seen large.

The Infernal Comedy-a stage play for one actor, a chamber orchestra, and two sopranos-is based on the real-life story of Austrian serial killer Jack Unterweger, embodied by veteran film and theater actor John Malkovich in this pitch-black production.

The 15th Annual Hollywood Film Festival and Hollywood Film Awards, presented by Starz Entertainment, have announced that the cast of DreamWorks Pictures and Participant Media's 'The Help' - Jessica Chastain, Viola Davis, Bryce Dallas Howard, Allison Janney, Chris Lowell, Ahna O'Reilly, Octavia Spencer, Emma Stone, Sissy Spacek, Mary Steenburgen, Cicely Tyson and Mike Vogel - will be recognized at the Hollywood Awards Gala Ceremony with the 'Hollywood Ensemble Acting Award.'

Fountain House, an internationally recognized organization dedicated to improving the lives of people living with mental illness, last night hosted a staged reading of Daughter of the Queen of Sheba, headlining celebrated actresses Joan Allen and Lauren Ambrose, with appearances by noted actor and screenwriter Dan Futterman and theatre, film and television actor David AaRon Baker. The one-night-only performance, based upon the acclaimed memoir by NPR'sJacki Lyden that recounts her experience growing up with a colorful and dramatic mother living with manic depression, drew a full house to the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College, located at 68th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues in New York City. Lyden served as Narrator of the performance, which employed slides to illustrate the action. The evening benefitted Fountain House, with support from NPR. Check out a photo from the event below!
