For their second production in 2016, Seven Siblings Theatre is pleased to present Rhinoceros, a surreal theatrical experience written by avant-garde playwright Eugene Ionesco. This is Seven Siblings' most experimental production to date. This show is produced as a part of THE RHINOCEROS PROJECT, a ten day intensive experiment that shatters gender confinements, demands a series of physical and conceptual challenges, and explosively imagines Ionesco's work for a contemporary audience. Many of the roles have been cast in different genders than originally scripted, and the cast has only ten days to collaboratively explore and rehearse the play. As an added challenge, a list of ten things that must occur or appear in the production has been created, and the cast will explore how to incorporate them into the performances.

The Merchant of Venice is perhaps most famous for its portrayal of anti-Semitism, through the character of Shylock. However, often overlooked is the theme of social class. This runs throughout the play; from the way Shylock is treated as a Jew, to Portia the rich heiress who is almost enslaved by her money, and Antonio the 'good man' bailed out by the court system with barely concealed bias.

For 25 years, the editors at the Bathroom Reader's Institute have held a special place in their hearts for those "OMG" and "LOL" moments in life. The one's that people wish they could take back.
