Woodshed Collective has announced that its 2009 spring gala benefit S. O. S. - Sipping on Schmaltz, will take place Monday, June 1, when The Ford Lobby at Playwrights Horizons 416 W. 42 Street will transform into a cruise ship-style cabaret show, and the schmaltz will flow aplenty! Cocktails begin 6pm; performance begins at 7pm; more sipping and schmoozing at 8pm.

Directed by Sandy Shinner, Flyovers is presented in New York by Artistic New Directions, Jeff Landsman and 78th Street Theatre Lab, where Mr. Sweet's acclaimed play Bluff was produced in 2006.

The Brooklyn-based theatre company, Woodshed Collective, will present the premiere of Caridad Svich's Twelve Ophelias, directed by Teddy Bergman, as a free event at McCarren Park Pool, one of the city's best-loved concert and performance venues, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, beginning performances Friday, July 11, at 8pm and opening Thursday, July 24 at 8pm.
