It's Official! Tony Award-winner Hugh Jackman will return to the New York stage next month in Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway, playing October 25 2011 to January 1 2012 at The Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street). The official opening night has been set for November 10.
Student tickets will be available at every performance of Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway for $31.50 three hours before show time at the Broadhurst Theatre box office only (235 West 44th Street). Tickets are available on the day of the performance and there is a limit of one ticket per valid ID (subject to availability).
Performances began October 12 at 8 pm at the Booth Theatre for Jon Robin Baitz's critically acclaimed new play OTHER DESERT CITIES directed by Joe Mantello. This Lincoln Center Theater production features Stockard Channing, Rachel Griffiths, Stacy Keach, Judith Light and Thomas Sadoski. Opening night is Thursday, November 3. The New York Post's Michael Riedel writes today that the show, which will offer $30 tickets for students, already has a 6 million dollar advance through premium tickets selling for upwards of $300 each. By the time Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway opens officially on November 10, it's expected that it will be closer to 8 or 10 million.
