Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, National New Play Network, and Stage Directors & Choreographers Foundation have announced open applications for a second round of fellows of the National Directors Fellowship (NDF). Applications will be accepted online January 11-15 at the O'Neill website (www.theoneill.org).

The Kennedy Center presents the Tony Award-winning Broadway hit A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder. The production makes its Washington, D.C. premiere at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts for three weeks from January 13-30, 2016 in the Kennedy Center Eisenhower Theater. With book and lyrics by Robert L. Freedman and music and lyrics by Steven Lutvak, A Gentlemen's Guide to Love & Murder features direction by Darko Tresnjak and choreography by Peggy Hickey. The press opening night is Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 7:30 p.m.

The New York Pops, led by Music Director Steven Reineke, will present an evening full of holiday cheer at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage with help from Tony award nominees Stephanie J. Block and Brian d'Arcy James, set to make the season bright with a program of holiday favorites tonight and tomorrow, December 18 and 19, 2015 at 8:00PM. The orchestra will also be joined by Judith Clurman's Essential Voices USA.

The Kennedy Center presents the world premiere production of OLIVERio: A Brazilian Twist in the Kennedy Center Family Theater from January 30-February 21, 2016. Part of the Kennedy Center's Theater for Young Audiences 2015-2016 season, the production is inspired by the literary classic, Charles Dickens's Oliver Twist, directed by Juliette Carillo, with book and lyrics by Karen Zacarias and music by Deborah Wicks La Puma. The press opening performance is Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. OLIVERio is most appropriate for patrons ages 9 and up and their families.

Composer Gordon Getty's opera Usher House will receive its United States premiere as part of San Francisco Opera's double bill titled The Fall of the House of Usher in four performances, tonight, December 8 to 13, 2015. The Getty opera, a co-production with Welsh National Opera, will be paired with Robert Orledge's reconstruction of Debussy's uncompleted score, La Chute de la Maison Usher.

Clinton Hill cultural hub and OBIE award-winner JACK launches its winter/spring 2016 season with an a cappella opera set in Zimbabwe by composer Tanyaradzwa Tawengwa, a weekend of curated works by Modesto "Flako" Jimenez, the premiere of the dirty and bracing play Tom & Eliza, by Celine Song, the English-language premiere of Argentinian playwright Rafael Spregelburd's SPAM, The Geneva Project by Jennifer Harrison Newman, Antonio Ramos' Thirsty Mind, love and starvation sitting in a lonely tree and an exploration in minimalist/pop art performance by the No Face Performance Group.  JACK also engineers the return of Walter Dundervill's ARENA (which had two sold-out runs at JACK in 2014 and 2015).

James Hogan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), today officially opened the airline's First and Business Class Lounge at JFK International Airport. The new lounge is the second in the United States to join the airline's collection of premium lounges offered worldwide for its guests.

Tonight, December 2nd, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will kick off a five-week holiday season with a star-studded gala benefit including a performance at New York City Center and party at the New York Hilton Midtown Grand Ballroom. This year's gala will honor BNY Mellon for its major support of The Ailey Organization since 2007 and Agnes & Gerald Hassell will accept on the institution's behalf.
