PERFORMANCE SPACE 122 PRESENTS Sibyl Kempson and Mike Iveson, Jr.'s CRIME OR EMERGENCY OFFICIAL WORLD PREMIERE: FINAL EDITION December 4 - 20

American Repertory Theater (the A.R.T.) Artistic Director Diane Paulus has announced that two shows in its ambitious Shakespeare Exploded! Festival have been extended due to overwhelming critical acclaim and audience response.

Casting has been announced for the upcoming production of GATZ, presented by Elevator Repair Service and directed by John Collins at the American Repertory Theater. The staged reading of the classic F. Scott Fitzgerald novel will include Jim Fletcher as Gatsby, Scott Shepherd as Nick, Victoria Vazquez as Daisy, and Gary Wilmes as Tom. The production will play the A.R.T. from January 7th to February 7th, 2010.

Nicola and Acting Managing Director Fred Walker have announced that the final event in NYTW's special series of twenty-fifth anniversary public programs will be 'Two-and-a-Half Decades of Serving the Artist (Part II),' a discussion exploring the 'workshop' component of the theatre's activities on Monday, March 12 at 7:30pm - 9:00pm, at NYTW, 79 East 4 Street, between Second Avenue and Bowery.

Opening night is scheduled for Tuesday, April 29 at 7:00pm. The production will run through May 18.

The Public Theater in association with St. Ann's Warehouse, will extend The Wooster Group's Hamlet for an additional two weeks due to the high demand for this wildly inventive take on Shakespeare's best-known tragedy. Directed by Elizabeth LeCompte, Hamlet marks the debut of the legendary Wooster Group at The Public Theater, building upon The Public's historic role as a home for independent and experimental artists. The Wooster Group's Hamlet was scheduled to close on November 18 but will now run an additional two weeks through Sunday, December 2. The production will have an official press opening on Wednesday, October 31.

On May 2, 2005 Performance Space 122 celebrates its 25th anniversary with a gala benefit at Webster Hall where they will present the first annual Ethyl Eichelberger Award.
