Adam Halpin (Broadway's GLORY DAYS, RENT Natl. Tour) has just joined the cast of the new musical Daddy Long Legs, alongside his wife Megan McGinnis (Broadway's LES MISERABLES, SIDE SHOW, LITTLE WOMEN). Halpin, recently seen in another two-person musical THE LAST FIVE YEARS at Long Wharf Theatre, assumed the role on November 20th. The couple will appear together onstage through February 2016.

DADDY LONG LEGS has just announced that it will be the first ever Broadway or Off-Broadway performance to be broadcast online to the world for free on December 10, 2015.

Rubicon Theatre celebrates the holidays with the company's first presentation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, a World Premiere adaptation written by Producing Artistic Director Karyl Lynn Burns and directed by Brian McDonald. Rubicon's A Christmas Carol features a 24-member cast (the largest ensemble since the company's production of Fiddler on the Roof and the largest ever for a play).

The cast album for the new Off-Broadway musical DADDY LONG LEGS, with music and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Paul Gordon (Sense and Sensibility) and a book by Tony Award and Olivier Award winner John Caird (Les Miserables), is available today in the U.S. via digital release from Ghostlight Records.

A brand-new promo for Broadway's LES MISERABLES just hit YouTube (watch it below!), and it looks like Alfie Boe isn't long for the part of 'Jean Valjean'. The video announces the actor's departure date as February 28th, 2016. No word yet on who will replace him in the lead role, but BWW will keep our ears to the ground!

'If you don't have a camera zooming straight into the eyes or catching a close-up of a hand touching another hand, it doesn't work,' said Claude-Michel Schonberg, the French composer of now 30-year-old musical 'Les Miserables' (Les Mis), when asked about the possibility of adding the Oscar-nominated song 'Suddenly,' especially written for the 2012 movie adaptation, to 'Les Mis' onstage.

New Zealand native Hayden Tee will assume the role of Javert beginning Friday, January 29 in Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new Broadway production of Claude-Michel Schonberg & Alain Boublil's LES MISERABLES, now in its second year at the Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street). Tee comes directly to Broadway from the new Australian production ofLES MISERABLES, for which he has received wide acclaim. Earl Carpenter will give his final performance as Javert at the matinee on Sunday, January 24 before departing to star in the upcoming Manila engagement of LES MISERABLES.

Australian actors Kerrie Anne Greenland (Eponine), Chris Durling (Enjolras), and Emily Langridge (Cosette) will join previously announced cast members Simon Gleeson (Jean Valjean), Earl Carpenter (Javert), and Rachelle Ann Go (Fantine) when the new Asian Tour of the newly reimagined LES MISERABLES (LES MIS) kicks off at The Theatre at Solaire (1 Aseana Ave. Entertainment City, Paranaque City) in March 2016. The Old Globe today shared its 2016 Summer Season, which will feature new and familiar works directed by four major American stalwarts. The season features the welcome return of Steve Martin (Bright Star) with the World Premiere of his new play Meteor Shower, an adult comedy, directed by Gordon Edelstein, in a co-production with Long Wharf Theatre, where he serves as Artistic Director. Paul Gordon's musical Sense and Sensibility will have its West Coast premiere, presented in association with Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where it had its world premiere in February 2015, directed by CST Artistic Director Barbara Gaines. The Summer Shakespeare Festival will include Macbeth, directed by Brian Kulick, Artistic Director of Classic Stage Company, and Love's Labor's Lost, directed by three-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall.
