Gotham Stage Company's third installment of the new play series will be co-presented for the first time by Slant Theatre Project. Launched in 2011, the SPRINGBoard reading series exists to nurture new plays and to provide opportunities to both early and mid-career theatre artists. Past featured playwrights have included Carrie Barrett, Randall David Cook, and Ethan Lipton.

MCC Theater recently announced that Neil LaBute's new play, Reasons to be Happy, also directed by LaBute, will now extend through Saturday, June 29th. Reasons to Be Happy is a companion piece to LaBute's critically-acclaimed award-winning play,Reasons to Be Pretty, first produced at MCC Theater in 2008 before moving to Broadway where it was nominated for three 2009 Tony Awards, including Best Play. MCC Theater presents the New York premiere production of Paul Downs Colaizzo's Really Really, directed by David Cromer (the Obie Award and Lucille Lortel Award-winning director of hits Our Town, Adding Machine and Tribes). The production, which marks Colaizzo's New York playwriting debut, plays at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) through March 10, 2013. The opening was last night, February 19. THE STEADFAST is inspired by Mr. Alpert's Legacy painting. Preview performances of THE STEADFAST began January 20 prior to an official press opening of January 23 at TBG Theatre (312 West 36th Street) in Manhattan. Page 73 Productions, an Off-Broadway theatre company dedicated to developing and presenting works by early-career playwrights, will support the development of four new plays by playwrights Mary Hamilton, Kait Kerrigan, Kimber Lee, and Cori Thomas as part of their 2013 Page 2 Workshop, it has been announced by Liz Jones and Asher Richelli, Co-Executive Directors of Page 73 Productions.

(UMC)'s upcoming developmental reading of Sounds Like Love, a new comedy by Arnold B. Horwitt (Make Mine Manhattan, Plain and Fancy) featuring three original songs by Horwitt, Tony Award winner Albert Hague (Plain and Fancy, The Fig Leaves Are Falling) and Grammy Award winner Allan Sherman (The Fig Leaves Are Falling).

UnsungMusicalsCo. (UMC) will present a developmental reading of Sounds Like Love, a new comedy by Arnold B. Horwitt (Make Mine Manhattan, Plain and Fancy) featuring three original songs by Horwitt, Tony Award winner Albert Hague (Plain and Fancy, The Fig Leaves Are Falling) and Grammy Award winner Allan Sherman (The Fig Leaves Are Falling). Originally written circa 1955, the previously unproduced play is adapted and directed by Ben West (At Home Abroad, Make Mine Manhattan, Gatsby).
