Anderson, Sills et al. Lead Paper Mill's PETER PAN, 6/2-6/27

The Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Artistic Director, Mark W. Jones-Executive Director) is proud to announce casting for its production of Peter Pan. Directed by Mark S. Hoebee with choreography by Patti Colombo, Peter Pan will run at the Millburn Theater from June 2 through June 27, 2010. The production will open for the press on June 6. Peter Pan is generously supported by a gift from Allen and Joan Bildner and supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Theatreworks USA Announces 22nd Annual Free Summer Theatre Program in NYC

Theatreworks USA (Barbara Pasternack, Artistic Dir.; Ken Arthur, Producing Dir.),the nation's leading not-for-profit professional theatre for family audiences, is pleased to announce that Tina Fey and Jeff Richmond will serve as Opening Night Co-Chairs for its 22nd Annual Free Summer Theatre Program.

New York Philharmonic Plays Copland, Haydn, et. al. For Memorial Day Concert 5/31

Music Director Alan Gilbert will conduct the New York Philharmonic in his first free Memorial Day Concert, Monday, May 31, 2010, at 8:00 p.m., at The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, Amsterdam Avenue at 112th Street. This will be the 19th annual free Memorial Day Concert offered by the New York Philharmonic, a tradition begun in 1992 as a gift to the people of New York City. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Music will also be piped out onto the adjacent Pulpit Green, weather permitting.

On Thursday May 27th at 7:30 pm, SIGNAL, a large ensemble comprising some of Eastman School of Music's most gifted and innovative alumni, will perform the World Premiere of Stabat Mater by Nico Muhly.

'Keys to the Future' Piano Festival Announces 5th Season

Following four seasons of sold-out concerts, KEYS TO THE FUTURE celebrates its fifth anniversary at a brand new venue and with an even deeper mix of styles and talent. This unique piano festival takes place Tuesday through Thursday, May 25, 26, and 27, at Le Poisson Rouge, 158 Bleecker Street between Sullivan and Thompson St. Each hour-long concert begins at 7:30pm; doors open at 6:30pm.

New York Philharmonic To Feature Gilbert and Hardenberger in Concerts, 6/17-6/19

In the second of the final three weeks of his inaugural season, Music Director Alan Gilbert will lead the New York Philharmonic in Wagner's Siegfried Idyll; HK Gruber's trumpet concerto Aerial; Mozart's Symphony No. 25; and Wagner's Prelude and Liebestod from Tristan and Isolde, Thursday, June 17, 2010, at 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 18, at 11:00 a.m., and Saturday, June 19, at 8:00 p.m. Joining the Orchestra to perform Aerial will be the Swedish trumpet virtuoso, Håkan Hardenberger, for whom it was written, and who is making his New York Philharmonic debut.

Davis Gaines Joins Musical Theatre West's 1776

Davis Gaines, known by most Southern California theatergoers for his portrayal of the titular character in Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, will be joining the previously announced Steven Glaudini (John Adams) and Tami Tappan Damiano (Abigail Adams) as Richard Henry Lee, of Virginia in 1776.

Thomas Hampson Elected to the American Academy of Arts & Sciences
