Sundance Institute will end its run of the Theatre Lab on April 11th. Under the artistic direction of Philip Himberg, Producing Artist Director of the Sundance Institute Theatre Program, the Lab provided fellows with guidance in the development of new work for the stage.

Sundance Institute announced today the acting company for its Theatre Lab at MASS MoCA. This program will run March 28 - April 11, 2010 at MASS MoCA in North Adams, Mass. In preparation for the opening of the theater's renovated complex in Southwest D.C., Arena Stage has undertaken ARENA RESTAGED-a two-year festival of American voices. Part Two will continue the remarkable exploration of American work and provide the theater with necessary time to move into the new Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater in time for the Fall 2010 opening.

There are two things you should know about me: I am a musical theatre lover, and I love to schmooze with actors and composers. I am very fortunate to live in the DC area where our theatre community is growing by leaps and bounds. There are so many productions opening in September in DC, Maryland and Virginia theatres, my head is spinning trying to figure out which ones I will see.

TRACY LETTS' AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY, winner of five 2008 Tony Awards, as well as the 2008 Pulitzer Prize, and currently starring Tony and Emmy award winner PHYLICIA RASHAD, will play its final performance on SUNDAY, JUNE 28th, 2009. It will have played 648 performances and 18 previews, surpassing The Heidi Chronicles, Master Class, The Real Thing, and Doubt, among many others, to become one of the longest running plays in Broadway history.

August: Osage County, which, on Friday, May 22nd, surpassed The Heidi Chronicles in the list of Broadway's longest running plays, welcomes Tony Award-winner Phylicia Rashad to the cast tonight, Tuesday, May 26th. Ms. Rashad will star as Violet Weston.

Since it began in 1987, 23 editions of the Annual Easter Bonnet Competition have raised nearly $39 million for BC/EFA.
