Variety reports that London theater attendance and box office receipts have risen to record-breaking heights for the third year in succession, despite the expected fears brought on by the economic downturn.
HAMLET comes to Broadway following sold out engagements in London's West End and at Elsinore in Denmark. The production will begin performances at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street) on Saturday, September 12 for a strictly limited run of twelve weeks only. Opening night is Tuesday, October 6.
Producer Arielle Tepper Madover is pleased to announce that the critically acclaimed Donmar Warehouse production of William Shakespeare's HAMLET with Jude Law in the title role, directed by Michael Grandage, will come to Broadway this fall, following sold out runs in London's West End and a special engagement at Elsinore Castle in Denmark.
