The tour of the smash hit Broadway revival of WEST SIDE STORY is returning to Detroit! WEST SIDE STORY will appear at the Fisher Theatre, today, May 13- 18, 2014.

WEST SIDE STORY plays at The Morris Performing Arts Center tonight and tomorrow, May 9-10, 2014 as part of the 2013-14 Broadway in South Bend Series presented by Broadway Theatre League.

West Side Story returns to its theatrical home at the National Theatre for one week only, June 3 through 8. The landmark American musical made its world premiere at the National in 1957 prior to heading to Broadway, as did its revival in 2008, and now the North American tour of this celebrated story concludes in Washington at the place where it all began.

I will probably be thrown into the darkest depths of Musical Theatre Purgatory for saying this, but…West Side Story has never been a favourite of mine. However, bear with me. I vaguely remember watching the film in my early years of secondary school, and wasn't particularly enamoured by it, so it was with mixed feelings of uncertainty and curiosity that I headed over to the Bristol Hippodrome to see the show on stage for the first time.
