Nikki MacCallum is returning to The Duplex with her third solo cabaret, "How to Stay Single in Life Without Really Trying." The show is a guide to staying single, which can be quite an achievement in a world where it's sometimes easier to settle down with the wrong person!

This performance is a companion piece to Nayfack's autobiographical ONE WOMAN SHOW, which premiered at Joe's Pub in 2013, and subsequently played 54 Below, Sophie's @ Broadway, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley, Barrington Stage Company, and Musical Theatre Factory (MTF).

This month, Musical Theatre Factory (MTF) will partner with NYMF to showcase a series of late night salons featuring the work of over 20 musical theater writers. The writers of five NYMF shows will be participating in the Salon-A-Thon, including the 2015 Next Link Selections 210 Amlent Avenue, Manuel Vs. The Statue of Liberty and The Cobalteans.

Musical Theatre Factory (MTF), under the leadership of founding artistic director Shakina Nayfack and managing director Danny Abosch, has announced its 2015 summer season supporting the development of 16 new shows.

This week's spotlight is on Joel Waggoner and Eric Price, whose new original musical PRESTO CHANGE-O is commissioned by Barrington Stage and directed by Marc Bruni (Beautiful). It tells the story of a family of stage magicians who find themselves living under the same roof for the first time in years. In this song, Tina, who is the family's maid and maintains their ever-growing collection of artifacts from the history of magic, reveals her larger ambitions. The York Theatre Company, and its acclaimed Developmental Reading Series, present the New York premiere of three new musicals: Mark Felt, Superstar with book, music and lyrics by Joshua Rosenblum; Paris Through the Window, with book & lyrics by Charles Osborne and music by Leo Hurley; and We Foxes with book, lyrics and music by Ryan Scott Oliver at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). The readings are open to the public with a suggested donation of $5.00.

Shakina's public approach to gender confirmation is living performance art with a dark, funny, and powerful cabaret edge. After successfully raising over $22,000 through her high-profile KickStartHer campaign, these final performances celebrate her upcoming departure to Thailand to undertake the first internationally crowd-sourced sex change.
