National Alliance for Musical Theatre has announced final casting for the 27th ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS, which takes place on Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues).

Though movies and TV shows would have you believe that understudies aren't very nice people, FUN HOME's Gabby Pizzolo is apparently a real sweetheart.

The Battles Musical LLC will present a second developmental reading of the new musical, THE BATTLES, with music, book, and lyrics by Ned Massey, at the New 42nd Street Studios on Friday, October 23rd, at 3 pm. The reading will be directed by Tom Wojtunik with musical direction by Joshua Stephen Kartes, and casting by Michael Cassara, CSA. The musical received its first reading in June as part of the Emerging Artist Theatre's "New Works Series."

BroadwayWorld has just learned that Tony Award nominee Sydney Lucas will play her final performance in Broadway's FUN HOME on Sunday, October 4. Her understudy, Gabriella Pizzolo, will take over the role of 'Small Alison' beginning October 6, 2015.

Broken Box Mime Theater has announced its newest show, ABOVE BELOW. Through movement and music, Broken Box Mime Theater performs a set of fresh original narratives that explore what is above, what is below, and how we find ourselves in the here and now.
